Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. Before we get started, we want to give condolences to Nicholas’ Dad. To visit, click here.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that my mom and hubby helped me with Christmas cards-he seals envelopes and she puts the return address labels on.

We are joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day

Here is our poem for this fun prompt.

Hope Santa doesn’t hold a grudge
because we have no plans to budge.
We never get such good eats
so, we are finishing all these treats.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. ______________________is my favorite Christmas song.
2. ________________________________is a Christmas decoration that I treasure.
3. Though ’tis the season for _________, I much prefer _________.
4. If I could create a new Christmas tradition, it would be _________.

  1. We were sorry to hear about Nicholas, too. Ahahaha funny poem for the picture. It is certainly good to have help with the Christmas 🎄 cards! XO

  2. I was very sad to hear of Nicholas passing at such a young age. He and Opie had started to get on so well together too.
I could have done with a helper for my cards. It is difficult to write with numb hands, but I do manage. But then I realised I had run out of return labels, so had to write that on the cards too.
    Love the poem!

  3. We did not know little Nicholas but are very sad he had such a short life – I’m sure it was full of love though. Your poem is SUPER DUPER GOOD!! Yay for Dad being a “Christmas card helper” …..!!!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

  4. I’m sorry to hear about, Angel Nicholas, and my condolences to his dad. I’m glad you got help with the Christmas cards, and love the cute poem.

  5. Purr-fect poem … tho not actually a Christmas song, I still prefer “It’s A Wonderful World” (Louis Armstrong singing it please) … and we do treasure “little Monkey” as shown on our own blog recently, he’s very old and a personal tradition. From me to you, Ellen, thinking of you at this time.

  6. I was so saddened by Nicholas’s passing. I can’t imagine a baby that young going to the Bridge. Greg must be devastated. All of us would be.
Love the next Fill-ins. Those are my favorite thing in the blogs, I have to say.

    1. Very sad. I feel bad for Greg and Opie. Thank you. I am glad you enjoy the fill-ins-I love seeing what everyone puts for answers. XO

  7. Congratulations on getting the cards done! Your poem is just right, those two are going to just keep eating and drinking.

  8. You are so lucky to have help. Mom got our cards ordered early, which means Tali and Gibbs are not on it, and now she thinks she won’t get to them before the New Year. Terrific poem!
