Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .
Dusty is posing with a book I just finished reading, Street Cats & Where To Find Them: The Most Feline-Friendly Cities and Attractions Around the World by Jeff Bogle. I was hesitant to get this one from the library because every time I see cats on the street, it makes me sad. A lot of cats in this book are well cared for by the people in the cities, but they still have a tough life. It has photos of beautiful cats from all over the world, and it is well-written. but it still made me sad. I wish all cats had forever homes.
There is also a section of the book about cat cafes and museums around the world so it was worth it to read about those.
Penny will be here with some money saving tips tomorrow if she forgives me for the vet trip last week.
It makes me sad too, thinking of cats on the street. Maybe they’ll get more help if everyone knows where they are? Sure hope so. XO
I hope so too. XO
I wish our town had a cat cafe…or even a puppy one, LOL!
Dusty looks comfy in that box…did the book come in that?
Every town should have one. No, our gifts from Granny, Peachy and Faye came in that box. XO
We, too, are sad for street cats and wish they had forever homes. At least Rasta has food! And a few snuggles. And you will be forgiven, we are sure of that….just hold a can of tuna near her as she pouts…
Same here. I thought Rasta had a family? You should just scoop him up and keep him. XO
I will have to look and see if my library has this book because I’m sure I would enjoy reading it. I feel like you every cat deserves a home. I watched the Turkish movie that was made a few years ago about all the feral cats that live in Istanbul. So many are well taken care of but none of them actually have a home.
Can you get books from libraries in your area sent to your library? I can’t watch stuff like that, too sad. XO
I am sorry to about all the street cats, but glad so many people feed them and try to care for them.
I am glad they get a lot of help, but it is never enough. XO
It makes me sad cats don’t have a home. We have a couple of stray cats in our complex. We, and the neighbors, feed them, but I wish they had a safe home. Dusty looks content posing with the book.
I am glad you and others feed them. Is there a group that could TNR and possible find homes if they are friendly? XO
Agreed, street cats, ferals … and yes, our beautiful dogs, too many abandoned and neglected everywhere. Some towns and cities … and even countries, do far more to protect and care for them than we do here in the USA.
I never see stray dogs, but there are so many stray cats. XO
Homelessness is something that continually makes me sad.
Same here. xO
One of my three cats are a street cat
Glad you saved your kitty from the street. Many of mine were drop offs/ strays.
Agreed!
XO
I agree… all kitties should have wonderful forever homes.

Thank you. 🙂 xO
It is sad that all cats don’t have a forever home.
Yes, it is. XO
Granny and Grandpaw were in a Cat Cafe last week, and we’re happy that at least they have somewhere to live until they find a furrever home🙏Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞
Cat Cafes are a wonderful way to promote adoption. xO
That book sounds wonderful! Kitties without a home break my heart too.
Beautiful photos.
It’s very sad to see street cats. This is why I volunteer at the shelter, to do the little I can do to help get them off the streets.
That is kind of you to be a part of the solution. XO
We get sad about street cats too but those who help are such heroes.
Yes, it is heartbreaking work, but I am thankful for those that do. XO
Charlee: “We are all former street cats here, but none of us remember what it was like because we were all so young when we got picked up.”
Chaplin: “Especially Smol Oona. She was barely the size of a potato when that neighbor cat left her on Dada’s cousin’s porch.”
Oona: “She was a ninja potato though.”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, I *DO* remember what it was like to live on the street, and you are not missing anything by having forgotten.”
