Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
I am thankful that I got to spend time watching a movie with The Great One on Tuesday. Typhoid Mary was at Girl Scouts that day, but she said she wants me to spend a whole day at her house playing dolls. She has a lot of Barbies and Elsa and Anna dolls that we play with. It does make me sad that The Great One has already outgrown that though.
And today is C day for The A-Z Blogging Challenge. As you know, my theme is Halloween. C is for concrete pumpkins. If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know that my hubby and I made these last fall by pouring concrete into nylons and putting strings around them.
I feel bad that I skipped the poetry again this week. One of these weeks, I will get back into it.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
Wonderful pumpkins that you and and your hubby made!XO
Thank you. 🙂 XO
I remember those pumpkins!
Sounds like you might be doing the girls separately to deal with their different interests…unless they have a common thing they love.
Thank you. 🙂 We can play card games and board games together. And art projects. 🙂 XO
I remember you making those pumpkins. I am glad you had an enjoyable day with The Great One.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Looks like you’ve had plenty to keep you busy besides poetry, lol.
I played with dolls until I was 13 or 14. But when I was young, kids grew up slower.
Thank you. 🙂 I wish the girls would play that long. I still play and I am 55. 🙂 XO
I remember your concrete pumpkins DIY craft. This is a clever idea and whoever came up it is quite creative which is quite cool! 🙂
It’s sad when kids grow out of doing things. Continue to make every minute count with your nieces and nephew. They go by so fast!
Thank you. 🙂 I will. XO
The pumpkins are just so cool! I am ready for Fall already and we haven’t made it to the dreaded summer yet. I need some Fall in my life. Nice to have spent some time with The Great One. I think you will have many special times with her… just different. You will find ways to make them happen!
Well put. Fun, but different. Very true.
🙂
Thank you. 🙂 I would like fall and winter all year. XO
Those pumpkins are pawsome. We agree with Pix. We’d be happy to pass by summer.
Thank you. 🙂 I would too. XO
Always forget to add pumpkin seeds to my list of favorite foods; they are yummy!
Yes, they are. 🙂
I remember the concrete pumpkins! Super cool!
Thank you. 🙂
Me, I could do without Summer every single year. Divvy that time up with Spring and Fall.
I agree with another commenter above. You will still have fun together, and The Great One too…but as she said, different. It takes getting used to. I went through that with all my boys. They grew up on me, by golly. Our times doing things together singly or all of them changed venues accordingly. Like..we are all into coin collecting, and we’d excitedly go to coin shows and shops…and spend all kinds of time (and $$) together in a mutual interest.
I will take half fall and half winter. 🙂 Glad you had coins as a group project. XO
Ellen no matter what you do with TGO TM and TB it is full of love and memories
Hugs Cecilia
Awww..thank you. XO
Charlee: “Indestructible pumpkins! One day archeologists may find them and come up with incorrect theories as to what they were for!”
Haha! Maybe. 🙂
Oh ~ cool pumpkin and fun with the ‘girls’ ~ you are sooo busy ~ hugs,

I must admit that I forgot about the pumpkin project. Those are amazing! And you never know, The Great One might regain interest. 🙂 Hugs, my dear.
The kids growing up to fast, but Ellen, the Great One has some of your genes, so maybe she’ll play on with dolls and so after all😸The pumpkins look amazing, even better than in a store🎃Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you…Oh and btw we hope you get back to the poems, you always had such funny ones that we liked very much🐾😽💞
