Hi everyone. We are joining, The Cat On My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.
Penelope has a vet appointment Monday. She is (over)due for a rabies shot plus I want her checked for arthritis because she walks like she might have it. If she has it, I will get the monthly injection for her as it seems to work miracles. Has anyone gotten it for their cat? If so, would you recommend it?
Love all the selfies! XO
Thank you. XO
Praying for Penelope. Your Sundays selfies all look great
Thank you. XO
Charlee: “I enjoy peace and quiet too, Rosie! But I do not enjoy vet visits. Maybe you can spirit Penelope away on your Meow Yacht.”
Oona: “Dada just said that Penelope is not the one who goes to sea, Odysseus is. Then he laughed and laughed and laughed. Oona has no idea what he is talking about, as usual.”
I wish I could, but it is just the side of the yacht- my mean mom tossed the rest. XO
Dearest Ellen,
Poor Brody—waiting for Precious…
The girls look lovely.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
Thank you. He will keep waiting. XO
Mama got the shot for me long ago when I was having difficulties with arthritis and we hoped so much it would work. It works for a percentage of cases, but it did not work for me. I had two shots actually, after which the vet can tell if it worked and it did not work. They are expensive but that was not the reason we stopped. The shots are miracles for some kitties. I just wasn’t one of them, sigh…..
I am sorry it did not help you. XO
Those are lovely selfies. Precious is a tease keeping Brody waiting!
Thank you. Yes, she is. 🙂 XO
Brody, you look so handsome on that fall color blanket. We’ve had cold weather a couple mornings and when I come in off my patio my ears are cold. My allergies are acting up and my ears itch and my eye is swollen. Then it’s going to have to give up and let the doctor give me real allergy medicine soon. We hope Penelope is okay.
Thank you. That sounds awful. We hope you feel better. XO
I hope she is okay. Animals don’t need rabies injections in Australia, as we don’t have rabies, thank goodness. I hope the border controls keep working. It is an advantage being an island, but what a tragedy if diseases enter and affect our unique wild fauna. It doesn’t bear thinking about. A mysterious disease has nearly wiped out Tasmanian Devils with frantic efforts to conserve a disease free population. Koalas in many areas also suffer from disease. I think this is the incredibly stressed environment for these animals with human encroachment everywhere. Sasha is an indoor cat with an outside enclosure. He only goes out on his lead with me. Otherwise he is a keen hunter.
We hope that something can be done about any arthritis condition. Animals are excellent at not showing injury or pain. And best wishes from Sasha.
Thank you. That is great that there is no rabies in Australia. XO
Lovely selfies, all, and me and dad hope Penelope’s vet visit goes well. I’m good so far, but dad’s been dealing with that darn stuff in multiple joints throughout his body. And he has the nerve to call ME old!
Thank you. Sorry your dad has a lot of pain. Xo
Aww, poor Brody, and Rosie enjoy your peace and quiet. Prayers for Penelope.
Thank you. XO
Good morning sweet kitties! (yay, we’re finally set up to properly comment here!) … Happy Sunday to one and all … and PeeEss, if’n your arthur-itis shot helps, let mine Mommy know cause she says she doesn’t paw around quite as good anymore either! (so says your friend JUNE)
Thank you. Glad you are all set up now. XO
I didn’t know about the injection for cats. I will have to ask about it the next vet visit Scylla goes on. Thank you for sharing the info.
You’re welcome. I think it is Solensia. XO
What great selfies! Good luck to Penelope at her vet appointment. Solensia didn’t work for Ernie but I’ve heard it has helped many other cats. It may take 2-3 shots to see a difference.
Thank you. Sorry it didn’t help Ernie. XO
Maybe the vet can give my mm a shot. Her shoulders have begun hurting.
She may want to go to the Dr. She could probably get a lidocaine shot. XO
Such sweet selfies gang! Hey, Angel Brian had that shot and after the second month his mobility was amazing.
Thank you. That is good to know. XO
We hope the shot works. Great Selfies.
Thank you. XO
Lovely Sunday selfies….good luck at the vet tomorrow.
We are getting our annual flu (for seniors) vaccine tomorrow
Hugs cecilia
Thank you. We need to do that too, but were waiting a bit after having Covid. XO
Y’all look so cute!
Celestial Sweetie had the Solensia shots, and it really helped her.
Besides, there was no way I could pill her anyhow.
Thank you. I wouldn’t be able to pill Penelope either. 🙂 XO
Cute selfies! Good luck to Penelope!
Thank you. XO
Beautiful selfies this week. Hope that shot helps Penelope.
Thank you. XO
A trio of purr-fection. Lovely selfies.
Thank you. 🙂
Lovely Selfies of you all. Angel Bobo had Arthritis, but he was treated with Homeopathy which worked super duper fine😺😺Healing Pawkisses for Penelope🙏🐾😽💞
Thank you. That is a better option. XO
I hope all goes well at the vets for Penelope tomorrow. Rosie, I am enjoying my peace and quiet today 🙂
Brody, maybe your Mom could send her an email for you♥
Enjoyed your Selfies!
Thank you. XO
A beautiful trio of selfies. We have heard that the injection works very well for cats. Lightning was getting it but we really didn’t see enough of a difference in him for it to warrant the cost. We hope it will work for Penelope if they determine she needs it.
Happy Sunday.
Woos – Misty and Timber
Thank you. Sorry it didn’t help Lightning.
I didn’t know about the injections, but please keep us posted since it sounds promising.
I will.
No injections here but I do use Korero Green Lipped Mussel supplement you might like to try.
I will have to look that up. Thank you. 🙂
Adorable! I hope the vet visit goes well.
Thank you. 🙂
Happy Sunday, cuties!
Happy Birthday to you. XO
We love your selfies, sweet ones. We have heard those injections work well for some kitties. We are purring and praying for a good vet appointment for Penelope. XO
Thank you. 🙂 XO
I hope Brody gets to be with precious soon…don’t give up, OK??!
Pretty gals!! The kitties, LOL!!
I know that some kitties do really well on that new shot, and some have little or no help from it. It wasn’t;t around when Pipo started to feel the effects arthritis, so he got a quarter of a human chondroitin/glucosamine tablet every day, with some relief, in that he started to play again…that was his routine from several years…maybe 4 or 5. The vet a=said it was OK…he knew about it.
Thank you. 🙂 That is what she is going to have too. 🙂 XO
Lovely selfies!
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Nice selfies!~
Thank you. 🙂
I’ve never had to give arthritis medication and hope all goes well. ~hugs~ Awesome photos of your sweeties. Be well!
Thank you. SO far, so good. The glucosamine is a capsule that opens into powder to sprinkle on her food and she has been eating with it on. I haven’t used the pain meds because she had some the other day to calm her for the appointment and she has been walking pretty good. I think the humidity was getting to her before. XO
