Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful to all who sent sympathy cards for the loss of Joanie. Also, thankful for all your kind comments. And thankful for surprise packages. Last Monday when we got back from saying goodbye to Joanie my hubby got the mail and there was a package I wasn’t expecting. My friend Lynn ( Precious’Mom), made me a Mrs. Potato Head. She is so talented that she made it without a pattern.

Isn’t she cute? It arrived at the perfect time to brighten a very dark day. Thankyou Lynn.

One more thankful- hubby finished the taxes.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

Strange lady dressed as an egg
perhaps her name is Peg
She may make us grin.
but I think she belongs in the loony bin.
Today is D day on The A-Z Blogging Challenge. D is for decorations.
Here are a few of my decorations, snowmen, reindeer and little trees.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I plan to _____________________ in April.
2. My favorite kind of muffin is __________________.
3. _________ always seems to happen when I _________.
4. _________ has been on my to-do list for a long time.

  1. So nice of Lynn to make you that cute Mrs. Potato Head! And great to have the taxes done! Lots of fun and festive decorations! XO

  2. That is a very thoughtful gift from Lynn. Your poem made me laugh!

  3. What a darling gift your friend made! It’s wonderful that friends pull together to support each other through these losses we all have. We love your poem too – I’m thinking that “egg lady” would need a BIG cell if she was in the loony bin – room enough for her egg.

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Thanks. I love seeing all the Christmas decorations. They cheer me up with all the color. It has been pouring for absolutely days and now snow flakes. Taxes finished! Cause for celebration!
