Bob the Streetcat and Other Great Reads

Happy Friday everyone- today is my favorite day to write because I love recommending books-cat books ๐Ÿ™‚ I checked Barnes and Noble’s website for new ones and was thrilled to see there are several coming out this year. Don’t worry, I will keep you up-to-date. First off, Lucy has another one of her picks for you, actually it is 2. 014Her favorite Fang Shui tip is: if you have white fur, shed on dark furnishings and vice versa, but calico cats may shed wherever they want to. My pick is a double too: A Streetcat Named Bob-http://www.amazon.com/Street-Cat-Named-Bob-Saved/dp/1250048672/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=8-2&qid=1403267055ย . It is about an orange cat that insisted on following a man around London. The man was a recovering heroin addict that was on methadone maintenance and was barely taking care of himself. I won’t tell you anymore, but it is a great read. I haven’t read the newest one, The World According to Bob, but I am hopeful that it is just as good. I will let you know as I have one waiting for me at the library, but it is closed today. I must go now because my husband pointed out that Snowball has a “wind chime” hanging from her. If you have a long haired cat, I am sure you know what I mean. I am thinking it is time to get her butt shaved again. Thanks for reading.

  1. That is a great book. And glad you reminded me, I need to read the second one too. I really enjoyed the first one. The guy and the cat have such a great relationship. Hope you have a great day and thanks for coming by our blog. Good to meet all of you.

  2. We had a good chuckle at wind chime! Mom reviewed “A Street Cat Named Bob” a while back and recently reviewed the children’s book, “My Name is Bob.” Bob is a great kitty. She hasn’t read the most recent book yet. We practice Fang Shui all the time, especially what you recommended! Have a terrific weekend. 1. Glad you had a chuckle. I need to check out your website better as I didn’t realize your mom did book reviews too- I am always looking for something to read, I read 6 books at a time ( a few chapters of each a day).
