Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful my cookies came out tasty. I have been trying a new recipe every we. This week I tried pecan tassies. There were 24, but my hubby and I are really enjoying them. I won’t make them often as the ingredients are pricey including a block of cream cheese and 2 sticks of butter. I got the recipe online at Pear Tree Kitchen. Click here.

I am also incredibly thankful that Joanie’s blood work was good and that she gained a few ounces.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

Years ago this house had a big yard
now when you step out you need to be on guard.
Despite the lack of real estate
to be rid of this you’ll have to donate.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

2. February is a good month to _________________.

  1. Your cookies look and sound very tasty. I know what you mean about going to the grocery, the price of ingredients are getting ridiculous. It certainly makes two cookies at a time a super treat it seems.

  2. Yummy cookies.
MOL MOL at your fun poem and I too am happy that Joanie’s labs were good.

  3. Java Bean: “Ayyy, looks like the dogs at that house did a little bit too good of a job of digging for gophers!”
Lulu: “Could that really happen? Maybe we’d better lay off, especially with all the rain … Nah, we’ll keep digging.”
