Awww…Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays.

I helped Little Lola decorate for Halloween.

Typhoid Mary has been working on Lola’s house every time she visits. It is now 3 stories high. If she doesn’t become an architect, I will be very surprised.

The first floor has a bed ( Lola’s parents are sleeping), a shower, a kitchen and a living room. I crocheted a blanket and a rug for them.

The second floor is Lola’s art studio with all her paintings on display and a hook for her apron.

And the 3rd floor is the pool area. Typhoid Mary designed an umbrella with shelves and a garden with succulents.

The house has many windows with curtains and 2 doors. And a garage.

I always have to “talk” Lola so I feel like I have an alter ego. 🙂

I love it when they kids tell me I have to “talk” Lola and the stuffed animals at our doctor’s office.

Sorry, there are no real cats in this, but Lola and her parents are cats.

Penny will be here tomorrow with some money saving tips for Halloween.

  1. A really fantastic house! Nicely planned and I love the Halloween decorations! Typhoid Mary may well become an architect! XO

  2. I totally loved this blog. BIG BIG smile here. Lola, your parents live there too? How wonderful. Love the blanket that was made for them.

  3. Quite a house for Lola! I’m not sure it’s very wise having the pool ABOVE the living area (eeek) but whatever Lola wants is the most important thing (with advice from her architect of course). Love the crocheted accents you provided. Makes it more homey.

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Oh to hear Lola-speak!!!! Can you record a bit for us, we who are such fans of Typhoid Mary and her INCREDIBLE ingenuity and creativity. Please tell her that Frank Gehry started making things out of shirt cardboards when he was her age and look at him now….LOVE that house. Mama says she would have be delighted to be the age of your darlings and play with them at your house. What a gift.

  5. What great creative fun! Makes those hundreds of dollars store bought doll houses look boring. So creative, and to think the top floor is like expensive sky scrapers with the pool and garden on the roof! Makes me think what I might do with boxes this winter that Precious wants nothing to do with!

    1. I forgot about that song. I keep singing The Kink’s Lola to myself- not in front of the kids. 🙂

  6. Well done. What a fun project.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. XO ♥

    1. Very true. I think schools take creativity out of us so I want to be sure the girls keep theirs. It took me years to find mine after high school. XO

  7. TM obviously gets her creative DNA from her great Aunt! I love it that they get to express themselves so freely

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Last time she was here, she was working on an elevator so hopefully she will finish this weekend. XO
