Friendly Fill-Ins Week 330

Hi everyone. Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. _____________ should come with ________________________.

2. And just like that ______________________________,
3. I get funny looks from others when I _________.
4. I once tried to _________, and I failed.
My answers:
1. Foreign doctors should come with translators. Most of my sister’s doctors were foreign and hard to understand with their accent. They were knowledgeable and kind, but we had to keep having them repeat things.
2. And just like that I have another cat. Well, he is not here yet  I am getting him this weekend. Tuffy is Bridget’s son. My sister had adopted him when I took in Bridget, Ethel and Lucy. My sister had 8 cats and 3 dogs, most will be kept by her boyfriend, but he is overwhelmed and wanted to part with a few so I offered to take Tuffy back. He prefers the company of cats to people and I hope they will welcome him back to the family.
3. I get funny looks from others when I tell them how many cats I have, but I no longer care.
4. I once tried to stop adopting so many cats and I failed. At times I am overwhelmed and feel some don’t get enough attention, but I can’t stop trying to help all that I can.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

My flashback is from last September. Angel Sammy posed with the bandana for RememberMeThursday.

  1. When I had my 1 kidney out, I got an Indian Doctor but he had to be one of the best foreign Doctors I’ve ever come across because he drew pictures and even tried to explain things which made things easier . That was way back in in the 70’s.

  2. Wow, we look forward to seeing Tuffy! And we welcome him, too. That is a sweet picture of Angel Sammy.
I know what you mean about those heavy accents some people have…and when they talk fast, it sure can be hard to understand it all, and when it comes to medical issues, then there are always those that will speak with big words we might not even understand. (Or they talk down to us…)

    1. Rescue pets should come with owner’s manuals, individualized since so many of them have special concerns, Dalton being one of those…his baggage is very heavy and he can’t seem to put it away…sigh…

    2. And just like that I became the chauffeur for my hubby,
    3. I get funny looks from others when I tell them how old I am…they somehow think I am too old to do my kind of work..
    4. I once tried to waterski, and I failed, miserably! LOL! Ditto for downhill skiing…

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am sorry your hubby still needs you to drive though. Also, about Dalton- opefully he will trust your hubby someday. XO

  3. Of course you can’t leave an unsheltered kitty all by itself Ms Ellen. And your heart is big enough to cuddle and snuggle all of those wonderful kitties that you have and they are so lucky to have a mama like you.

  4. Happy that your sister’s pets are either staying at home or finding new homes. Glad you will be getting Tuffy back – he should feel right at home. Your cats are the luckiest bunch ever to have you for a Mom!

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. I am so glad Tuffy and the others are finding a home. They will go from one loving home to another.
Thank you Ellen for your kindness and tenderness during the time we are going through here after my son’s death.

  6. OHhhh…. can’t wait to hear more about Tuffy! I won’t look at you funny for having too many cats! I might just be jealous!!

  7. Welcome Tuffy! He is a lucky cat. I hope the transition is short and happy. I’ve often wondered what pets think when their owner dies. Can they sense it? Or is it more like abandonement?

  8. I’m glad you’re getting Tuffy back. It’s a good thing. I love all your fill-ins and I applaud you for wanted to save all the kitties. Nothing wrong with that.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥

  9. I liked your replies I am sure Tuffy will love being back with you and cat family 👍

    Aww! @ Angel Sammy (=⚈ᆽ⚈=)

Have a new additiontastic weekend 👍

  10. Purrs to Tuffy as he rejoins your family – he will be one more link to your sister (and how good that her boyfriend is willing to keep caring for her others !)

  11. You are so good! I love that your sister’s BF is keeping most of the furry family. When you have a large furry family, you have to make sure they’re taken care of in case of emergency. an’t stop thinking of Maria’s 28 cats. Thx for the fill-ins.

  12. You are so sweet! All the fur babies that you are helping are very blessed. As are you with all the love you receive from them. I hope Tuffy settles in nicely and is welcomed easily by all the rest of the gang. xo

  13. What a terrific shot of Angel Sammy and kudos on adding Tuffy to your family! I, Marv wanted to do the fill-ins this week, but Mom did not have time to help! So here are my answers:
    1. Cat treats should come with Mom every time she lets us in the house.
    2. And just like that the vase full of flowers leaped off the bookcase and onto the new floor!
    3. I get funny looks from others when I stand half in and half out of the cat flap.
    4. I once tried to catch a fish in the river and I failed. AND I got really wet!
    Purrs Marv

  14. I’m a bit behind on blog posts. So wonderful of you to take in Tuffy. I’m sure he’s confused right now.
