Hi everyone! I am a little annoyed with my mom. She told me I was going to have my very own stand-in like real tv and movie stars have. Her name is Elvira and so far she is mostly under the bed in the spare room. I guess she is tired from her long trip. Mom did see her come out for food, water and the litter box.
My tip for you today is about a free drawing class online available through the end of April. There are a whole bunch of classes, but the only important one is how to draw cats. Here is mom’s work- unfortunately, her drawing skills are even worse than her photography skills.
The website is KarenaBend Sketchbook 2022- Click here.
Scroll down to Day 9-Draw Cats 123…
And when you get to that, you can also sign up for a free class in painting cats in watercolors- not actually painting your cats, just painting cats on paper. 🙂 Mom hasn’t done that one yet, but I will share her work when she does so we can all have a laugh.
Maybe my stand-in will be here next week. I sure hope so because after 3 Tuesdays in a row, I need some time off.
We are joining Comedy Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop
Drawing class sounds like fun, Penny! Your stand-in will probably take her own sweet time about it, but I’m sure she’ll be there for you eventually. XO
Thank you. 🙂 XO
You are so good at making us giggle, Penny! We can see that those sketches are kitties, so actually they are not *that* bad, you know!
Petcretary is useless at drawing too…
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Thanks for the tips and sharing about Elvira! 🙂 <3
Thank you. 🙂 XO
We are sure Elvira will help you out soon. She has a really big adjustment to make. But we are so happy she is with your family where she will be loved and cared for. Tell Elvira we said hi, we used to visit her blog back when Mom actually let us visit blogs.
Elvira says hi and that she is looking forward to writing again. XO
ELLEN, I LOVE THOSE DRAWINGS!!!!!!!!
You are doing brilliantly…so fresh, wonderful exressions on each kitty. You are an artist and I am NOT being “nice”….I am excited for you. PLEASE show more sketches. Wonderful that you are taking this class. Mama may do it too because frankly, I feel she needs to work more and get out of her sketch slump.
Thank you, you are too kind. XO
I think your mom’s drawings are cute, Penny and I know, practice makes purrfect, so… We think Elvira will come out of her hiding place soon, One sheep follows another…in this case cat of course…MOL…Extra Happy Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Thank you. 🙂 XO and pawkisses to you.
My human thinks she can draw cats, but I bet she could learn a thing or three from this class!
I think she would like the class. 🙂 XO
It is nice that you will have a stand in. She has had a very long journey so needs a lot of rest. Maybe she will be ready for next week.
I hope so. I am exhausted. XO
Well Penny I think your new housemate Elvira will soon be happy to fill-in for you from time to time. I would think she’s exhausted from the trip and upheaval but being there in your home she will bounce back soon!! Cat drawing lessons sounds like a very cool thing…..good for your Mom!
Hugs, Teddy
I hope so. Thank you. 🙂 XO
I look forward to seeing Elvira. I could use a drawing class. I am terrible.
You should do the class. 🙂
Mom Elen I have to tell you that I LOVE those drawings you did. Not just saying that either I mean it Several really tickled my funny bone. LOVED them. Be sure to save them because they will be excellent here on the blog when you make a place for them again.
Thank you. 🙂 You should do the class, it is only 30 minutes and a lot of fun. XO
The local art institute offers watercolor classes, but they are during the workday!
These classes are terrific; thank for showing them to us!
Here’s hoping Elvira’s time UTB is short-lived.
You’re welcome. She is already out from under the bed. 🙂 XO
Thanks for the tips, Penny! I’m sure Elvira will come around. Good for your mom for taking art classes.

If i had any hope of being able to draw or paint, i’d love to try my hand at these. Good luck with your stand-in.
If I can do it, so can you. 🙂 XO
You’re so lucky to have a tortie sister! I keep trying to convince Mudpie that would be a very good thing. So far it’s a no go…
I don’t know how those 2 will be together – Penny doesn’t get along with very many cats. 🙂 XO
Penny, I am already reading that she is out from under the bed and getting pets. That is a great thing this soon! Ellen, I love the little faces of your cats that you drew Penny, great tip for your Mom!
Yes, she is. Thank you-my mom drew them. XO
The drawing class sounds like fun! Even if we don’t get to an expert level, we can learn new skills and have fun. I’m sure Elvira will come out soon. It’s scary to be in a new home with so many strangers! xo
Yes, it is fun. I hope you do it. XO
Charlee: “We’re sure your stand-in will get up to speed soon, Penny!”
Chaplin: “Yeah, it can’t be easy to come in as a new understudy!”
I hope so. 🙂
