Friendly Fill-Ins Week 255

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I wish I knew how to play _________________________.
2. If offered a free trip to space, I would ______________________.
3. _________ is the most exciting thing in my life right now.
4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of _________.
My answers:
1. I wish I knew how to play the piano.  I actually have one I got on Craigstlist about 15 years ago, but didn’t get far with lessons.
2. If offered a free trip to space, I would decline. I don’t even like leaving the house let alone the planet.
3. Spending time with The Great One is the most exciting thing in my life right now.
4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of nothing. I like to keep things short and sweet.
We are already up to the letter H in The A-Z Blogging Challenge. We are up to the letter N. N is for NO- I highly recommend James Altucher’s book, The Power of No.  So many times we say yes to please other people. If you don’t want to do something, just say no. I realize there are times we are obligated to say yes, but you don’t need to agree to everything people ask of you.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

Here is a flashback of Angel Jinx last April posing with a book for part of The A-Z Blogging challenge. I knew he was already 17, but he seemed so healthy then that is is hard to believe he left us 5 months later.

Pee S: Maggie looked JUST like mee!

  2. Great fill ins. I played piano when I was a child, but I totally forgot everything I learned about it. Beautiful photo of Angel Jinx.

  3. Purrs to you as you remember Jinx. Boodie was 19-1/2, but she was fine, just a little arthritic, until the last week or so. It happened so fast.

  4. No is a good word, depending how you use it, LOL!

Angel Jinx, what a sweet memory:)

    1. I wish I knew how to play my violin better…as well as the piano that stands idle here after our sin stopped playing it…he lives on his own, but he won’t touch it when he’s here…sadly enough…but my arthritic neck and hands are not going to cooperate.
    2. If offered a free trip to space, I would be worried that I might not be able to get back safely, but it would be quite an adventure!
    3. My work and my planned home improvements/fix-ups are the most exciting thing in my life right now.
    4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of all the things one shouldn’t bother with. LOL!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. SOrry your arthritis keeps you from playing instruments. Planning home improvements is fun. I have a lot of pinterest ideas for my home if I could only get hubby on board. XO

  5. I wouldn’t want to go into Space either. That is a lovely photo of Angel Jinx.

  6. I see neither of us will be visiting space any time soon (haha). Thanks for hosting fill-ins – I always enjoy seeing how people fill in the blanks. Love that photo of Jinx – one handsome panther!! Happy Friday!

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)

  7. Jinx♥
I said the same about 2. My Mom made me take piano lessons and the piano teacher suggested that she might find something I was interested in… Hahaha! I found the word NO a long time ago.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. I wish I knew how to play the guitar.
    2. If offered a free trip to space, I would not go.
    3. Trying to find a rug for the living room is the most exciting thing in my life right now. I don’t like to shop.
    4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of procrastination. But I am doing so much better now. Get it done, move on!

    1. That piano teacher sounds mean. Took me years to learn no, but I use it often now. Thank you for these great answers. You should take some guitar lessons, I bet you tube has lots of free videos with lessons. Please send me a photo once you pick your rug- I love home decor. I recommend the book book Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy to help end procrastination. 🙂 XO

      1. I can play a little guitar but not much. You are right, YouTube has a lot of videos for guitar playing. I spend a lot of time watching and listening to Glen Campbell who was an incredible guitar player. We found our rug (8×10) and it will be here in a couple of weeks. I have the sample here and I will shoot you a picture. I will also send you a picture when we put it down 🙂

  8. That sounds like an interesting book. I agree sometimes we say yes because we are afraid to say no. That is a sweet pic of Angel Jinx. ❤️

  9. Love your fill-ins. So sad about Angel Jinx.

Learning to say no is the very best thing you can do. I learned how to say no long ago and I’m ever so happy about that.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. Always fun.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  10. Oh gosh … I wish I knew how to play chess! I admire those who do. If offered a trip to space, I’d be on board in a minute. Having lived on the Space Coast and watched dozens of shuttle launches, I wanted to be on every one of them! Reading is the most important thing in my life right now, fills my time! The only thing I think I could talk about for any length of time (and would bore the audience for sure) would be my grandchildren!!!

    1. I don’t know how to play either. You are brave to want to go to space. I am sure you wouldn’t be boring. XO

  11. Angel Jinx was a pretty boy – so regal. What a sweet face.

I loved your answers, and I’d take pics for you from the trip to outer space.

  12. Angel Jinx is a beauty! Good answers, and I’m not sure but I don’t think I want to visit space, either! XO

  13. We like all your answers especially 1 & 2. Daisy Mae and I would decline a free trip to space too and I actually did take piano lessons for 12 long years.

  14. Hey Angel Jinx , no space for me either…I could never sit that long.
    LOL
    Hugs Cecilia

  15. No space for any of us here either, thank you very much! But our mom’s mother really wants to go so if we were offered we would say “thank you – put the ticket in grandma’s name”.
Angel Jinx is gorgeous. We love black fluffs!

  16. I’m with you, don’t even like to leave the house! My Mom and sister both played piano when we were growing up. I dabbled a little bit but never got very good at it.

  17. Awww… Jinx was gorgeous. I’m with you on not wanting to leave the house. My husband wants me to drive him to an appointment and it’s mid afternoon, my absolute least favorite time to venture out. It seems everyone is rushing somewhere, then traffic eases drastically by early evening. Be well!

  18. I wouldn’t go to space either! No way!!! I played the piano for like 6 years, probably if I sat down at one now I wouldn’t be able to play a note!!

  19. Wonderful fill ins and Jinx is/was a beautiful kitty ~ they never stay long enough ~ XX

Did not feel well most of the weekend ~ so no posts or comments ~ slowly on the mend.

  20. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! Though I quite enjoy astronomy, I honestly do agree with your answer to #2. And I’m so glad The Great One is able to visit you again! I’m sure Joanie is, too. Purrs!

  21. Like you I wish I knew how to play the piano. I took lessons when I was younger but gave up on it because my heart wasn’t into it. I can’t remember now why I even started the lessons unless it was because my BFF was taking them. These days, I regret having stopped, though. Maybe one day, I can teach myself how to play. I wish I could say no more than I do but get roped into doing things I really don’t want. *sigh*
