Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Today is April 1st which was my KaChoo’s birthday. I am thankful for the 16 and a half years we had together. She was my first cat and will always have a special place in my heart. I lost her in November 2010 and still grieve her loss.

Today is day one of The A-Z Blogging Challenge. My theme is happiness and art makes me happy. I hope it makes everyone happy. You should surround yourself with art that inspires you.  Here is some of the art in our home.

I know some are crooked, I am still waiting for the hubby to hang them properly for me. I made the 2 button arts and I painted the tuxie cat.  To see others in the challenge, click here.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

  1. That’s sweet picture of Angel Kachoo.

Your art collection is so pretty, a tribute to yourself! And that pic of the pussy willows is lovely!

You could just say that your kitties had the zoomies which caused an earthquake to make them hang crooked, LOL!

    1. Thank you. I got the pussy willow art from IKEA years ago. Yes, that could happen. XO

  2. Purrs to you as you remember KaChoo. My human agrees with you about art, and she has some on her walls. She has, I will just say, kind of unusual taste.

  3. What a beautiful kitty KaChoo was! Purrs as you remember her. Art is a great theme and helps make me happy too! I love the art on your wall, especially the painting of the tuxie! XO

  4. KaChoo was a beautiful kitty. The memories we have of our cats are wonderful things. They may be gone from sight, but never far from mind.

  5. Great pictures on the wall – bravo! That’s a sweet photo of your KaChoo – I know what you mean about missing those that have left us every single day. Always.

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)

  6. 1. Rain is such an inconvenience when it goes on for weeks.
    2. My favorite part of an Easter meal is the veggies that go with it.
    3. I would like to find an Easter egg filled with Reeses Pieces.
    4. For me, dishonesty is (very much) a deal breaker.

pee ess…seeing those pussy willows is so sweet.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Yes, rain can be a pain, right now we are having too much wind. Reeses Pieces are good. O hope you get some. I agree about dishonesty. XO

  7. Art is a good choice for the A-Z Challenge. I love your painted kitties. So cute.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

  9. Sweet kitty KaChoo! As they say, our pets leave their paw prints on our hearts. I still miss all of ours. <3

  11. Art is a wonderful start to your A to Z Challenge! I love your art just as it is – don’t go adjusting anything.

  12. Ellen,

I finally got caught up with you this morning. I can’t believe I didn’t visit your first entry, though. Oh well…I couldn’t agree with you more about art. This has become my favorite past time to sketch and I’m doing something nearly every day, even when there isn’t a challenge taking place. I’ve enjoyed doing all of my art sketches this April and I hope everyone enjoys them as well. Nice theme!
