Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?
With the libraries still closed, I have been using my Kindle a lot. I did treat myself to Catwoods Volume 1 by Leah T Alford. I enjoy her blog , Catwoods Porch Party, where she tells of cats she has rescued. Proceeds from the book help her to support these cats. The book is $23.95 which is more than I ever spend on books, but knowing the purchase helps cats, I decided to buy it. I am glad I did. It was well worth the cost. Leah is an amazing author and the book is 357 pages long. I can’t wait for Volume 2.
Leah and her husband have rescued so many cats over the course of their marriage. They happened to be at the right place at the right time to save some of them on the highway and from a fire. They are genuinely kind people out there doing the right thing when so many just abandon pets. I highly recommend this book for all cat lovers. To get your copy on Amazon, click here.

Wow, that would be a great addition to your library.
It is. XO
Sounds like a pawsome book!

They sound like great people, and a great book.
Yes and yes. 🙂 XO
That sounds like a great book and I am going to go order it right now. Thanks for the review.
Glad you re going to get it 🙂
I’m reading The New Husband by D.J. Palmer. It’s frightening and I’m loving it.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
I don’t like frightening 🙂 XO
I’m reading Desert Guardian by A W Baldwin
Happy Monday
Hugs cecilia
I haven’t heard of that one. XO
Thanks for the link Ellen. Have a good Monday:)
Hope you had a nice Monday too.
That does sound good and they are really good humans.
They are and it is 🙂
What a team of Superheroes! Sounds like a good read and a good cause.
It is 🙂
Happy Monday! Sounds like a great book!
It is. Happy Monday!
We weren’t aware that they had a book!! We need to check it out.
You will love it. XO
It is so wonderful that there are people who care for abandoned pets. While I admire cats, it has to be from afar since I seem to be allergic to them and don’t enjoy the swollen, itchy eyes that accompany them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
How awful to be allergic to cats.
YAY for them spending years rescuing cats. That is a true labor of love. I’m sure it’s a good book too!
Hugs, Pam
It is 🙂 XO
I hadn’t heard of this book, and I thought I knew all of the good cat books!
On my tbr list now, thanks!
It is a good one 🙂
Ellen thank you so much for this nice review! When a reader makes me feel we’ve really communicated, that is the best part of having a book out there! I’m going to post this on my facebook cat page, and on my own profile, and I will put a link to your Amazon author page in the comments. I’ll try to do that this afternoon unless storms drive me offline. I’ll also post about it on my blog but that will take me about a week or so. I am going to get your books as soon as I can too. Again, many thanks Ellen! XO
You are very welcome. I truly love your book. XO
Mom loves reading from her Kindle app. She gets a free book once a month from Amazon, and then she uses Axis360 to read books from the library. She is currently reading a very strange but interesting tale called Sorry I Missed You.
The libraries around here opened this week for drive thru dropoff and pickup. Mom happened to be driving by our local branch and saw a line of about 25 cars. Nice to see people still wanting to read.
Woos, Lightning and Timber
WOW! I hope there isn’t a line like that when ours reopens next week.
Sounds like a good book. I have a few cozy mysteries on my tablet.
(p.s. Is it just me…. I can’t see all the comments anymore, only the one I’m typing).
Others have the comment problem. I wish I knew how to fix it. Sorry.
I can see them all now, so I guess you fixed it!
Glad you can see them 🙂
Sounds like a good book!
It is.:)
Great review. That book sounds great. Mom has been downloading books for her Kindle from our library.
The Florida Furkids
Kindle is the best 🙂
That sounds like a wonderful book!
It is 🙂
I’m reading a Revolutionary War book.
Katie’s mom
That must be interesting.
Excellent reason to buy the book. Our libraries have just opened and I need to return a couple but I won’t actually get any books from it yet!
Very wise choice.
Our mom’s returned to rereading some of her favorites in her own collection. She’s reading “Remember Me” by Laura Hendrie. While it’s set in NM, there are no cats. We don’t like that.
No cats? That is no fun.
An excellent gift idea for the cat lover, i’ll bet.
Definitely. 🙂
Aww, it’s great that they’ve rescued so many cats. If I had money and space, I’d have more rescue dogs for sure. I’m glad the book was worth the money. I hope you have a good week!
Hope you have a good week too. Thanks for visiting.
This sounds like such a wonderful read! And it feels so weird not having the library open. Ours is finally starting to do curbside pickups for books you have on hold, bur for some reason it still doesn’t want us returning books we have checked out. I’ve had a book checked out for 3 months, and I really want to return it because I feel like it’s incredibly late now. Happy reading!
I have several from the library that automatically renewed, but I can’t wait to return.
