Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.I am thankful that Millie’s kidney values were fine. He does have a mast cell tumor that has ulcerated and his thyroid meds need an increase, but I am thankful about the kidneys. I am hoping his recent weight loss is from his thyroid.

We are also joining   Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt..

Who is this pretty lady kissing me?
I sure hope my wife doesn’t see.
Getting old sure can stink
except for moments like this ( wink, wink).
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. Whenever I _________________, I ____________________.

2. ________________ is not _____________.

3. Good things come to those who _________.

4. _________ makes me grumpy.

  1. What a CUTE poem for this week’s Poetry Thursday……I hadn’t even considered that lady kissing the guy just might be someone OTHER than his “significant other”…..HAHAHA Glad to hear Millie’s kidney values were good – this boy has enough to deal with other than having his kidneys going bad. We send him lots of POTP.

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. Millie…lots of love to you. How old are you? May you get better and better. Mom is answering today.

    1. Whenever I see something not in order, rug, whatever, I have to fix that.

    2. Rain is not my fave thing. We get far too much.

    3. Good things come to those who allow them to happen!

    4. Loud neighbor ‘doings’ make me grumpy.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 And thank you for these great fill-in answers. We have had too much rain lately too. I am blessed with quiet neighbors 🙂 XO

  3. Your blanket is adorable! I’m sure the weight loss is from the thryoid being off. It’s happened to Benny a couple of times when he’s needed a dosage change.

  4. Great news on Millie’s kidney. I hope the same about the weight loss. Prayers continue.

    Love the poem.

I’m all ready for the fill-ins tomorrow. Thank you for co-hosting the fun.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties, especially Millie. ♥

  5. millie; dood…st francis’ blessing two ewe…two day N for like all time…♥♥♥♥

  6. Such a fun poem! It made me smile. 🙂 Cabo got his stitches out yesterday and has a clean bill of health after that nasty obstruction incident a couple weeks ago. We are very thankful our doodle is back to his old self again.

  7. I’m glad Millie’s kidneys are doing well, and we’re sending him and you lots of purrs, woofs, and prayers! As always, your poem had me laughing. Well wishes to all!

  8. thanks for sharing this. I am concerned Cody may have a thyroid issue as well. He dropped a pound from Spring til October. He is going to the Vet on Nov 25th to get weighed again and I am afraid he lost again. His thyroid tested borderline, but I have thought since Spring that he has thyroid issues. I am praying it is just thyroid for your kitty as well.
