Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

I am currently reading The Castle on Sunset: Life, Death, Love, Art, and Scandal at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont by Shawn Levy. I  had never heard of the Chateau Marmont, apparently that is where John Belushi overdosed. It is also where many celebrities have stayed since it opened in 1929. I am enjoying reading about all that have stayed there.It is like reading US Weekly from 1929-present day. No mention of Nicolas Cage though. 🙁

I am not a big fan of fiction, but I am enjoying The Secret Life of Mac by Melinda Metz. It is the author’s second book about a cat named Mac that has a knack for bringing people together.

One more thing- Noel is scheduled for an ultrasound on Friday. The vet said they would be able to tell if the tumor is contained. If it is, I will most likely opt to have it removed. If it has spread, the vet said not to do anything and I agree. Please keep Noel in your prayers.

  3. Two of my current reads are, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and, god is not Great by Christopher Hitchens. In addition, there is Mon Chat est un hypocrite and Mon chat est un PSYCHOPATHE by Hèlène Lasserre & Gilles Bonotaux, and some assorted poetry in English and in French.

    1. That sounds like heavy reading. You are like me and read more than one at a time.

    Just finished Lock Every Door by Riley Sager. It was edge of the seat frightening. My kind of book.

  15. Actually I just finished reading a book last night. It was called Christmas Blackout or something like that. I’ll start reading another book tonight.

  16. Wow, this author has a TON of books! I already had her, “Talk To The Paw” on my ‘to read’ list, now I’ve added these two. Noel, purrs and hugs, baby boy.

  19. The Secret Life of Mac sounds so good. Hope the best outcome for Noel comes about. Always so hard when pets become ill.

  25. Totally, Mr. Cage stayed there. Why wouldn’t he? EVERYONE has stayed there. We’ve heard a LOT about that place over the years, so yep, NC has stayed. Purrs for Noel’s diagnosis!

    This book sounds so intriguing. I don’t always have huge interest in celebrities’ lives, but this hotel sounds like it would have some incredible stories about famous folk. It sure would be even better if it had a cameo from Nic Cage, though.
