Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that my mom and I got to attend Typhoid Mary’s preschool graduation. They decorated their caps. Didn’t she do a nice job?

I was also thankful when all the kids were able to say The Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the ceremony.

I also got to bring The Great One to her last day of school party. They had 4 water slides and a firetruck spouting water for them as well as ice cream and popcorn.

And they will both be with me all day tomorrow. Rosie is not so thankful about that.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

I know I look silly in this hat

but I am getting paid so I don’t mind that.
I have a lot of walking the runway skill
but still, I fear becoming fashion roadkill.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Typhoid Mary’s cap is very pretty. Sounds like The Great One had a lovely last day at school.

  2. That graduation hat was made for a STAR and she is one! Love your poem – it’s perfect for that weirdo straw hat.

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

  3. Now THAT was one heckuva great poem. It was!!!! And look at Typhoid Mary! She did a super job on her hat too!

  4. Charlee: “That is a very fancy hat!”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, that party sounds fantastic! Water slides? A fire truck spouting water to play in? So much fun!!!”
    Chaplin: “You’re a lunatic, Bean.”

  5. TGO one did a wonderful job of decorating her hat. Her Great Aunt taught her a lot of her creative skills. Thank goodness the children are learning the Pledge of Allegiance.!!!
Have a good time with TGO and TM
    I loved your poem
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. Congratulations to Typhoid Mary! She did such a wonderful job decorating her cap. And the kitties here hope The Great One had a fun time at her last-day-of-school party, though they say it sounds like there was far too much water for their liking. Rosie, we’re sorry you’re not a fan of the kiddos visiting, but Joanie will surely keep them occupied for you. Purrs to all of you!

  7. Happy Graduation and that sounds like a fun party. Cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  8. She did decorate it very nicely indeed. Congratulations to her!

That party must have been the best end of year party ever.

The hat makes me cringe, but as you say, at least they get paid.

Enjoy the day with the girls!

  9. you are so lucky you got to go! Her cap looks beautiful! My granddaughter just graduated from pre-school too but they could only bring one guest and her main grandmother got to go (I’m a step grandmother and there is another grandmother too!)

    1. I am sorry you had to miss it. We were lucky that anyone could attend because there are a lot of grandparents. XO

  10. She did a very nice job on her graduation cap. 😀 And that fashion model’s hat looks like it belongs inside the entrance to a tiki bar. lol Best wishes!
