Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that Typhoid Mary’s preschool wanted this sheep.
I rescued it back in college in 1988. Some people were kicking it down the dorm hall and tossed it in the trash so I grabbed it. I have a tough time getting rid of anything with eyes, but as long as I know it will be loved, it makes it easier.
Speaking of Typhoid Mary, she will turn 5 next week. My mom asked her what she wants for her birthday and she said popsicle sticks without the popsicles and lots of cardboard. That kid loves cardboard.
We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day. And here is the photo prompt provided:
Why did she put a cap on my bald head?

Ha! Your poem made me laugh! So cute that Typhoid Mary likes to make things! XO
Thank you. XO
Well, the famous architect, Frank Gehry, was introduced to architecture by his grandmother, who gave him cardboard out of shirts (remember that?) to cut up and play with….a great story. Mama and papa met him, another story…

I would love to hear that story. Maybe she will be an architect- she likes to build with Legos. XO
Typhoid Mary 5 already? Where has the time gone! The sheep is cute and your poem is too.
Thank you. Time sure does fly. XO
At least Typhoid Mary likes something CHEAP for her birthday – cardboard is an easy one! Your poem for the little swimmer is hilarious…..I’m sure that pool had a lot of pee pee in it!!!!
Hugs, Pam
Yes, she is easy to please- I hope she stays that way. 🙂 Glad you like the poem. XO
That poem was THE poem of the day! And I am not surprised that Typhoid Mary loves to make things. She takes after her Auntie Ellen!
Thank you. You are too kind. XO
Ellen, you crack me up… I love your sense of funny! I also love the child in you. Thank you so much for rescuing the sheep. I think you know how I feel about stuffies. I am glad the sheep will have a good life at Typhoid Mary’s preschool. Hugs to you♥
Thank you. I know you would have done the same. XO
That is a mighty cool sheep. Mum would keep something like that too 😉
Purrs, Julie
Thank you. XO
Lulu: “Bean and I approve of Typhoid Mary’s love of cardboard.”
Java Bean: “We would also be more than happy to remove the popsicles from the sticks for her birthday. Just to, you know, help out.”
How sweet of you to offer to help, but we found some popsicle-less ones. 🙂
That little sheep is so cute, and I love that Typhoid Mary’s school will adopt it so that it can be loved by lots of children. Also, I could not help but laugh when you said that Typhoid Mary requested cardboard for her birthday. Though, as someone who has an entire drawer of cardboard for crafts, I have no room to judge that request. Happy (almost) birthday to Typhoid Mary!
Thank you. Glad you collect cardboard too. 🙂 XO
Happy Birthday to Typhoid Mary! LOL about the poem. Very cute.

Love the little lamb you rescued ~ great prompts too ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days, ~

The sheep is adorable! I would’ve rescued him too. Stuffies don’t belong in the trash 🙁
Thank you. 🙂 I agree. XO
Fun poem. Glad you found a home for the sheep. So cute.
Thank you. XO
Your poem went where i did not dare! It’s great.
Typhoid Mary sounds like a crafter and builder at heart, heaven bless her, they do get some ideas, don’t they. (A friend told me Tuesday her 6-year-old grandson said to his mom, “We need a bigger house. When I join the army and get my tank, it won’t fit here!”)
The stuffie will be loved by a whole new crop of admirers, i’m glad.
Thank you. Kids say the darndest things. 🙂
That’s a cute stuffie! WOW, 5 years old already, time sure flies. That was a fun poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. XO
MOL! What a funny poem! And I’m glad you found a home for that cute sheep.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
I tell you, when I was little the cold pool water always sent a signal to my brain which I couldn’t stop that said, “Bathroom time!” Why is it that happens? So weird! I tried to not do it but I just couldn’t help myself. As I got older, I got better. Remember boys and girls, don’t touch the logs in the swimming pool and get out fast! MOL Cute poem. 🙂
Ellen to the rescue! The stuffed toy sheep is cute. I got tickled with Typhoid Mary’s birthday present request. Happy crafting and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to kiddo! Our granddaughter will be 5 in October. The years vanish, don’t they?
WOW! I thought your granddaughter was about 2. 🙂 XO
Popsicle sticks and cardboard. I wonder what she will be making!
I wonder too. 🙂
Excellent poem.
Thank you. 🙂
