Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful I will get to see The Great One on Friday. Joanie is thankful for a new friend. I scored him a few weeks ago at Barnes and Noble for $2. I purchased several to use as gifts or to donate to Toys for Tots. I am keeping one though because I like snowmen, especially Olaf. Everyone loves Olaf.

We are joining their poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided:

Snow in December is a lot of fun,

but by March you just want some sun.
Even the snowmen want a break
a warm vacation they long to take.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

1. I never have time to finish __________________________.
2. My _____________can _____________.
3. _________ is a cause that is dear to my heart.
4.  At this very moment, I _________.

  1. Olaf the Snowman is cute. I don’t think the hitchhiking snowman will last long in Florida!

  2. We’ve always loved Olaf……he’s a cuddly snowman unlike the ones we see out in people’s yards in the winter! We also love your poem for today’s Poetry Day – I think the snowman in the photo is going to wind up as a puddle.

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. I’m thinking most people are happy to see the snowmen take a long break. I enjoyed your poem. Always nice to see Joanie with a new friend. Olaf will be a nice friend to have around. So happy you get to see The Great One.

  4. I’m happy you get to see the Great One tomorrow.

    Love the poem.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥

  5. Mom loves Olaf. He is one of her fav Disney characters. I think it’s ’cause she misses the snow; she grew up in snow country.

  6. Olaf always makes me laugh! There is a 10 foot statue of a Sasquatch on the way to Osoyoos and last Christmas someone dressed him up as Olaf! I loved it as I went past! In the backstory, is the snowman in your poem named Olaf? The poem rocked! Have a marvellously happy day!
