Hi everyone! Today is day O of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. O is for odors and when you live with a lot of cats, sometimes, there are odors. I won’t use scented litters because the smell bothers me and I certainly don’t want the cats to have to lick that stuff off their paws. I just add some baking soda to the litter box. It works, it is safe and it is cheap.
Sometimes one of them pees in a bad spot. Usually Sammy when he is mad at me and sometimes it is when a cat has a bladder infection. I have found washing items with color safe bleach gets the odor right out.
I like how Prancie’s tail is sticking out from under Brody.
Hi everyone! Today is day I of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. I is for Insurance. If I only had one or two cats, I would buy them insurance, but I can’t afford it for my entire crew. There are several companies offering pet insurance now and they all have their pros and cons. Here are two links to websites that break them down. Consumeradvocate and Top10Pet Insurance
You have seen Trouble in “stuff” and “things”, she also gets into “odds and ends”.
Hi everyone! Today is day C of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. C is for coupons, the Sunday paper always has some for litter and cat foods. If you don’t get the paper, you can check online. Here are some sites I found with printable coupons: LOZO has several including $2 off Rachel Ray Cat Food, $3 off Purina One and some litter coupons too. Click here. There were several for dog food on there too.
Fancy Feast has coupons on their website- click here
Coupon Mom has several cat food ones too. click here
These are just some to get you started. If you go to the website of your preferred brand, they may have some too.
Emmy is checking out the proof of her book. It looks good so we are going to print and it will be ready in about two weeks.
Hi everyone! We know it is Wordless Wednesday, but we want to give you a Sammy update.
Basically, we didn’t get any answers at his appointment. The vet said she had not seen a bump like that and thought it could be trauma ( KaTwo does whap him in the nose often). He also has a bad fang and she thought they might be connected. The quickest appointment for a dental was May 9th so if it is still there, he will get an x-ray and a needle aspirate.
It is hard to see in the photo, but it is there.
And don’t forget our book giveaway. Just comment on Monday’s post before Wednesday at 9 PM ( EST).
Happy Purim to all our Jewish friends! Trouble got to dress as Queen Esther this year because this is her first Purim with us. She is a big boned girl so the cape is too small. Here are some of the other kitties in the costume from years past.
Last week I showed you how Trouble gets into “stuff”, she has also been known to get into “things” too.
The A-Z challenge is next month. I have participated 4 times. My themes were random cat things, books about cats and two years of crocheted cat items. My question to all of you is would you prefer I write about blog hops or cost cutting ways to keep your cats happy and healthy?
I am actually a few days late in celebrating Brody’s Gotcha Day. Thank you to Pipo’s Petcretary for this beautiful card ( and reminding me of his special day).
Here is a link to his first post and second post. I was helping an older couple about a mile away to TNR ferals in their yard. Turns out he wasn’t really feral, probably a stray. It took a while, but now he is a proper house cat and even has a friend in Trouble. And KaTwo even protects him when Sammy tries to fight with him.
