Pirates &Pussycats: The Hunt for White Tail’s Treasure

Hi everyone! I have a great book to tell you about today. I was honored to receive an autographed copy in the mail.

*I received a free copy of Pirates & Pussycats: The Hunt for White Tail’s Treasure by Kerry Barbero and M,E. Watson in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

I am sure most of you are familiar with Princess Erin’s blog and Angel Valentine’s as well.  This book is about their alter egos, Captains Erin S’Ears and Valentino Shapur. When Captain S’Ears’ ship is hijacked by some nasty mice she and her crew are rescued by Captain Valentino. From then on they watch out for each other and become friends. I don’t want to give away anything crucial to the plot so I will leave it at that.

The book was written for kids over age 8, but I think it works for adults too. It is a nice mix of mystery, adventure, romance and comedy. I recommend it for anyone that likes adventure and of course, cats. The cover is a work of art I would like to frame too. I can’t wait to read it with my great-nieces when they have time (those kids are so busy).

Friday wanted to pose because she is a tuxie like Captain Erin and Trouble wanted to pose because she looks a bit like Captain Valentine.

  1. Thank you for such a delightful review. And for you Friday and trouble posing with the cover. You know I bet both could have roles if they make a movie version 😉
We are so pleased you liked the adventure and that you want to read it to your great nieces. I wonder which of the cast they will fall in love with?
Kerry, Mrs H and I had heaps of fun creating this, and we think the readers will love the result.
    Appreciative purrs

    1. They would love roles or could even be stand ins. 🙂 I would love to see a movie version. Thank you for the chance to review it.

  2. What a great review! That really sounds like an intriguing book! Love the pictures of your kitties with the book cover, too! XO

  3. Well, this sounds great! But mama is re-reading all of Louise Penny’s books set in the little town of Three Pines …mama loves her characters, especially the old degenerate poet Ruth whose companion is a duck. Will take a look at your reviewed book.

  4. I have the book and hopefully will read it soon. I was saving it because I’m on call for jury duty and thought I could bring it with me if I have to go. Glad you gave it a thumbs up!

  5. Great review!!! I started a book before the Christmas eve Crud landed on us. Couldn’t concentrate much so I might need to start again. It was a book mystery. Hugs Cecilia

  6. Awww on the both of your babies. Adorable. The book sounds like a fun read too.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

  7. I am always hooked on illustrations in children’s books. You are right about the cover… it’s delightful! I love kid’s books that work for adults. I still read them even if they are for kids because I am still a kid at heart. I will be clicking your link, Ellen. Thanks for the review!
