Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! I think my parents are keeping a secret from us kitties. Look at this box. Do you see what it says?

Pilch’s Poultry Farm*!!  I wonder where they are keeping those chickens and how come we don’t get to taste see them? I am pretty upset about this.

I am also upset that the beasty girls will be here on Thursday so I will have to hide. I like to hide under Happy, the octopus, but sometimes they want to play with her so I need another spot.

Rusty managed to get into the closet where mom keeps bags of cat food on the top shelf and he ripped two of them open.

Joanie had her annual exam today. She recently had blood work so she didn’t need more. She has a tiny spot on her eye that mom wanted checked. The vet said not to worry unless it gets bigger. Brody has to go for a rabies vaccine on Wednesday. Mom has to give him some meds ahead of time because he gets very scared and his heart races.

Penny is going to be here next week so try not to miss me much.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

*Rosie’s dad had 3 of these boxes filled with books from when he was in college in the 1970’s. His father’s cousin did have a poultry farm way back in the 1960’s somewhere in Alabama. We do not have a poultry farm. Sorry Rosie.

  1. Rosie darling. Make your mom fix you some tasty chicken and you gat to have as much as you want!! Happy is awfully cute…you may need to hind under someone else…So you won’t be disturbed. XO

  2. Getting into the closet to raid the kibbles was quite clever we think! MJF did that once, not with dog noms, but the cat ones!! He ate so much…he didn’t get any of his own noms that day…LOL! (They were under the couch, but somehow he was able to access them…he was too smart!)

Minko knew how to open the drawer in the kitchen island to snag the catnip mice petcretary stored there in reserve.

Hope the girls visiting are not too noisy…and maybe Happy will stay put to keep you safe, Rosie.
That is amazing that those boxes are still in such good shape!

  3. WOW….for a minute we thought you guys were branching out from having just Pilch’s VaVa Voom Veggie Patch to raising chickens (yum) too! What fun it would be to chase chickens around. Hope you all can find good hiding places for when the “beastie girls” visit this week – looks like the octopus is not reliable for hiding purposes if the girls decide to play with the octopus!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Dear Rosie, it was good of you to give us an update this week. It is a shame that there weren’t any baby chicks for you to chase around. I would find that delightful. I wish you the best on Thursday because as a kitty that scared of everybody except Lynn, I’m not sure how I would act with two lovely children playing in the house with my octopus. Precious

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I would have loved to play with some chicks and possibly taste them. 🙂 XO

  5. Thanks for the gabfest, Rosie. Mom needs to find a nice cozy place for you to hide and perhaps, extra treats to keep you calm.

  6. I’m all caught up on the happenings at the Pilch household. Thank you for that.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Rosie. Scritches all around and a hug to your mom. ♥

  7. Wow! What a busy day for the kitties and you ~ fun post ~ (not the spilled cat food, of course) but the cat had fun ~ Xo

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

  8. A cousin with a poultry farm, wow.

I hope there’s nothing wrong with Joanie’s eye. We could have used meds to calm Horizon down years ago when he had to go to the vet, he was scared of everything and everyone and would be a nervous wreck.

Rusty sounds as food driven as Little Girl’s dog, Coda.

I hope all of you have a great week, even with the girls coming over.

  9. Wow Rusty must have had fun. Sounds like a busy time at your house. Thanks for the update. Hope you find a good hiding place.

  10. Dang, I was hoping you discovered a current chicken farm, that would be cool. What do you give Brody and does it work? Simon has that same fear.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Gabapentin. Yes, it works. I only use half of what they give me for him though and it is plenty. XO

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I would love some chicken. Yes, under the bed is good now that mom finally cleaned under there. Brody and Joanie thank you. XO

  12. Had tech problems so I’m late! Talladega’s in the northeast part of AL. I’ve never been there, they have a raceway for cars but that makes me snooze … Thanks Rosie, for your excellent reporting! XO

  13. Rosie, you are adorable! You share the funniest and most interesting posts. Your mom should give you some chicken! xo
