Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone!

I am kind of bored. My folks keep being gone all day to clean out my dad’s sister’s house. Good thing Grammie is around to guard us.

I think my mom has totally lost her mind. Remember how she was talking to a dead spider last summer? Well, now she thinks the spider living in the bathroom is her pet and is playing hide and seek with her. I think he is hiding but doesn’t want the giant crazy lady to actually seek him out.

No kids here lately. I heard Friday is a half day though so Grammie and mom will get to see them, but at their house.

Is your Christmas tree still up? Ours is. I should take bets on how long it will be up. Actually, the Halloween shower curtain is still up- I should take bets on that instead.  So, when do you think Mom will change that?

Not much news this week. Everyone is behaving, well, no worse than usual. See you next week.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Rosie what a cute picture of you! Well, you just never know about spiders! We have a hard time getting going in January too. There’s no telling when anyone will do stuff in such a cold month! Brrrr. XO

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Mom says she does have a hard time motivating from January until September. 🙂 XO

  2. We just took down our tree…now we have to find places for all the boxes…
    LOL about the shower curtain!
You sure tell a lot of secrets, Rosie…
If petcretary started to talk to spiders we know she would be about to go to the funny farm…cause she’s deadly scared of them! She does talk to the dead creatures and apologizes to them after she finds them when we’ve left them in the yard or even the house.

    1. Yes, there are a lot of boxes to deal with at Christmas, but not the fun kind for us kitties. XO

  3. Hey, a shower curtain is a shower curtain, right? Plus you can hide in the bathtub when those kiddies are looking for you! Pull the curtain and have a nap. As for the tree, we always took ours down on Epiphany but there are some who think that it must be before new Year’s for good luck. Do we care? If it’s pretty just enjoy it. Maybe climb it….opps, sorry.

  4. Rosie our Christmas tree is up still too. Not sure I want to go without the colored lights yet. You’ll have an extra quiet day on Friday if your mom goes to visit the kids.

  5. Sweet Rosie, you look bored. We took our Christmas tree down on Jan. 9th, and I wouldn’t want a pet spider, especially in my bathroom. Eek!

  6. OK, come visit me, board/bored at my place today! And bythepaw, mine Mommy nearly took a header trying to hang a new shower curtain HIGH UP, got dizzies reaching up (she wouldn’t use a stool in the litter loo room) … so maybe OK to leave it be? And that tree: just redecorate with hearts, make it a Valentine Tree … then next with Colorful eggs & Bunnies as your Easter Tree … so on and so forth … all the kiddies that visit can make new decorations for each holiday!

    1. I would love to visit you. I don’t think we have any hearts , we have eggs though. 🙂 XO

  7. I got to smiling with Mom over the shower curtain! I’d say maybe by February that you can shred it down? Mom apologizes each time she sees the poor defenseless animals who are lying by the roadside. It makes her sad to see those accidents happen

  8. Being bored isn’t all that bad. You can catch up on your naps and explore your home. Like the tree is still up and the Halloween shower curtain is still up. You’re giving us things to talk about. You’re also cute.

I laughed out loud on mom making a pet out of the spider in the bathroom. Your mom is a hoot.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to your mom. ♥

  9. Our little tree is still up, too. I had planned to take it down last week but never got a chance and this week isn’t look favorable. I’m busy with moving content to my new host site. I want to get this done quickly as possible since my current host runs out in a few months. Maybe you need to start a game of smack and hide with your furblings. The way you play is smack one of your furblings, then hide before you get caught. LOL Have a funtastic week, little furriend!

  10. That is a very hard task mom and dad have. I’m thankful they have a Grammie and you kitties waiting at home. We decorated Ruby our Red the camellia by our sidewalk with 400 mini colored lights this year.
All we had to do was take the lights off
    Hugs cecilia

  11. rosie….if yur mom wantz ta leevez up de tree go for it…ladee crozz de street frum unkle boomer and cuzin daiz’ houz, leeved her tree up de yeer long and decorated it cordin two de holly day oh de month😸‼️🐾💚🐟

  12. Rosie, how fun for all the Meowing Crew and Grammie to spend quality time together. It’s so nice she is there while your Peeps are busy away from your house. I am pretty much okay with spiders unless they are Brown Recluses or any kind of Widow spider🕷️ Mom’s tree was carried to the guest bedroom’s closet the day after Christmas and was tenderly wrapped up in its own towel until next year. I love that your Mom’s Halloween shower curtain is still up! If it makes her HAPPY let it stay up as long as she enjoys it👻

    1. We are lucky that we don’t have those kinds of spiders in our area. Glad your mom’s tree is safely put away. XO

  13. Rosie, it’s great to see you.

If your mom likes the Halloween shower curtain, Rosie, why would she change it? As for the tree, well, right now she’s rather busy with other things. It’s not like the tree is going to go running down the street.

Spiders are great, they eat the nasty bugs, so encourage the spider to stay.

  14. Our tree is still up! Pretty soon I’ll remove the ornaments and leave it up with just the white lights for another month or so.

  15. Charlee: “Playing hide-and-seek with a spider sounds like fun. Or with a fly. Or with a beetle. Or … Well, you get the idea.”
Chaplin: “You do look like you’re really getting caught up on resting while your mom and dad are busy cleaning out your dad’s sister’s house.”
Lulu: “When do you cats ever get behind on resting?”
Chaplin: “All the time. We need like 30 hours of sleep, but there are only 24 hours in a day.”

  16. Sometimes a boring week is the best kind. I sometimes wish for more boring days than we have had over the last few years. Enjoy time with Grammie 🙂

  17. How bored can you be with spiders to talk to? I had to chuckle about the Halloween shower curtain. Been there, done that…bought the t-shirt. 😂 Sorry your parents have been away so much. They’re doing important work but I’m sure they’ll make up for it soon. Hang in there sweet Rosie.
