Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, and Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)

This week’s theme is songs with numbers in the title.

  1. Goody Two Shoes ( Adam Ant, 1982)- https://youtu.be/27Tj-Xo_eqI
  2. Prince’s 1999 ( 1982  ) – https://youtu.be/rg1UX3HvseQ
  3. Bryan Adams’ Summer 0f 69-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f06QZCVUHg

I know I used Summer of ’69 before, but I love that song because I was born in the summer of 69.

Prince’s 1999 makes me feel old, I remember when it came out and 1999 seemed so far away. Now it seems so far away from the other side of it.

I chose Goody Two Shoes because I tap danced to that song in a dance recital many years ago.

And Joanie and Prancie have a spark for today:

“A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find, lucky to have.”

  1. Love your Spark today because Mom says IT’s TOTALLY TRUE and that you are one of her favorite “four-leaf clovers” !

    Love, Teddy

    1. Thank you. And your Mom is one of my favorite four-leaf clovers. XO and love to you both

    1. Glad you liked the song choices. Yes, they stick together because some of the others are bullies and these two are sweet. XO

  2. All great choices! I am a big fan of Bryan Adams. I saw him in concert a few years ago and he is an amazing performer.

  3. Ellen,

I’m not sure that I remember ‘Goody Two Shoes’ but the title sounds familiar. Oh well…it sure is a toe-tapping good song! I couldn’t agree more about a friend is like a four-leaf clover. Have a tunetastic week, dearie!

  4. Love all the songs you posted. Such a long time ago on some of them.

I love all your kitties. You have a special place for me to visit every day.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. ♥

  5. Three good ones here! I didn’t recognize the Adam Ant song by name. I think the radio stations used to stick it in the middle of a long set and wouldn’t announce the names of all the songs, figuring “yeah, they know what it is”…

  6. guyz….two dayz sparkz awesum……N sew iz de songz pix !!! we wood like ta menshun, 19th nervous breakdown; eight days a week, cloud nine ~~~ 🙂 ♥♥

  7. As a kid, I used to search for 4-leaf clovers all of the time, and still have one preserved in tape and stored in my jewelry box. I loved Adam Ant!

    1. That is great that you still have them. My hubby and I find quite a few in our field.

  8. Your song choices are wonderful! I now have “Summer of ’69” stuck in my head, but I’m perfectly okay with that. Your story behind Goody Two Shoes made me remember the days when I used to tap dance as a child. I only did it for fun and never competed, which is probably a good thing, because I was really not very good at all. Joanie and Prancie, you two are too cute, and your Spark is purrfect! Happy Monday!

    1. I did not compete either. I don’t like competing in anything. GLad you like the spark. XO

  9. Those are good songs!

Mum is 3 years older than you and agrees with you about 1999. Summer of 69 a great track too and Mum says she was a big fan of Adam Ant, especially the earlier songs like Ant Music and Stand and Deliver.

  10. Great music selections!!!

That is a wonderful spark. So true, a good friend is a treasure for sure.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  11. Nice quote and fun song picks! We were born the same year, my dear, just a few months apart. And I have to share something funny. As my writing snippets indicate, my mind is often in the boudoir. ~wink~ Well, here I read the word ‘tap’ as ‘LAP’ and did a double-take. ~snicker~ What can I do? Be well, my dears.

    1. That is a funny story 🙂 Somehow I don’t think that song would work for a lap dance.
That is cool we were born the same year.

  12. So sorry I’m so late, but it was truely beyond my control due to medical test that needed to be taken yesterday. So today I’m fulfilling my comments from our Monday’s Music Moves Me. 🙂 Now I see you have THREE very fine rockin’ tunes! Woo Hoo! My dancin’ shoes are on girlfriend… so what’s next??? Ahhhhh yesssss… partyin’ like it’s 1999! A favorite tune of mine, but I guess I need to come up to date, but for now let’s party like it’s 1999! doo doo doot do do do!!! ~HEHEHE~ and of course the PARTY OF 69!!!!! I was havin’ my first baby that year!~!! bwahahahaha Have a great day!

    1. That is cool, I am the same age as your first child. I hope your tests went well.

  13. Aww, I was born in the Winter of 68 so…LOL
I remember my tapdance days too and I loved that you picked the song in remembrance of those days. I am sure they were quite the “numbers”!

    Thanks for playing this week.
