Friendly Fill-Ins Week 447

Hi everyone. Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. ________________________at Christmastime is such a pain to me.
2. I can’t wait to see ______________ open his/her gift from me.
3. I _________ on Christmas morning.
4. I _________ on Christmas night.
My answers:
1. Dealing with lights at Christmastime is such a pain to me. I have the worst luck with lights. Every year the tree lights have a strand out when we put it up and I got a set of lights for the basketball hoop (for the girls) which are an epic fail.
2. I can’t wait to see The Great One open his/her gift from me. I am getting her guitar lessons so I ordered a pick on Etsy with her name on the back and a photo of her cat on the front.
3. I feed my cats on Christmas morning.
4. I feed my cats on Christmas night.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from December 2021. Angel Sammy on Santa’s lap.

  5. I love your fill-ins, especially the ones on feeding the cats – LOL! I certainly am with you there, 365 days a year even if I’m not feeling well – the morning and evening cat feedings are taken care of without fail and usually right on time!

  6. Dealing with Christmas lights makes one learn patience, whether or not you want to! Great fill-ins, Ellen.

    1. I tried to get them on the backboard, but the stuff it came with wouldn’t stick so I double wrapped around the hoop and the rest around the pole. Thanks for these great answers. What did you get him? Thank you. XO

  9. The personalized pick sounds like a great gift.

Your sweetheart is so kind to go along with dressing as Santa and Angel Sammie was so precious. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.

The Ts will be happy to get their new tunnel (shhhhhh don’t tell them…) because we had to throw the old one away for many reasons. 🙂

  11. That flashback photo is adorable! Oh, while I’m thinking of it, we went to see the film “Homestead” with friends today. I feel certain you would enjoy the (not obnoxiously) Christian faith-based film from Angel Studio (the ones who released “Sound of Freedom”). I leaked a lot of tears while enjoying the entire movie. And there are episodes that follow the film’s conclusion that I intend to watch. Hugs and blessings, my dear.
PS I’m with you on Christmas lights. lol
PPS Thank you for the beautiful Christmas card and delightful toys!

  12. Charlee: “If there’s a better Christmas present than getting fed, I don’t know what it is.”
    Chaplin: “Getting fed twice?”
    Charlee: “Oh wow, you’re right!”
Oona: “Oona thinks that guitar pick sounds like a great gift. If Oona had someone strumming the guitar as background music during her adventures, she would want them to have a guitar pick like that.”

  13. Mom feels your pain with the lights. Every year it is something different. This year she tested all the strings of lights inside, and then took them outside to do the shrubs and trees. It never fails, so many strings would either not light or were only half lit. Very frustrating. Every year she vows it is the last year she will do it. This year she cut way back on how many lights are outside. Need less to say that is one job we are glad we can’t do.
