B is for Bunk Bed

Happy Thursday everyone! My Mom says we are participating in the a-z challenge so I need to write about something with a B- phooey! She signed up, I didn’t, but I guess I will play along- good thing Sunday is still for me to write what I want. 003

B is for bunk bed and we have custom made kitty sized bunk beds. About 5 years ago, Mom decided we needed bunks- I think it was the ad that is on TV all the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BxqK7xTpF8

012It takes crib sized mattresses. Most of the time the front is covered with the blanket from the top to make it nice and cozy. We all take turns using it, but the top bunk is technically Sammy’s. He has his Cat Scout scrapbook up there and a framed photo of Maggie. I use it sometimes, but I like the spot on top of the bureau right next to it.

I hope I get the letter G for Grammie- I love her so very much.

  7. I think a bunk bed would be cool! I’d snag the top bunk, of course… but would probably have to trade whaps with Binga to get it.

      1. We wish! We are not evfur allowed to go upstairs to the bedrooms…no fur here has done that, except in sneaky manners, MOL!

        We would love to have those big soft mattresses to snooze on!

        1. You poor kitties- I would let you sleep right on the bed with us. All kitties should have a bed- or at least a futon. 🙂

          1. Well, we have 2 huge soft recliners, 2 3-seater couches and a love seat…oh and a wing chair, a lot of those have kitty beds on them or extra cushions, so we are not (too) deprived…though sometimes pawppy says we are depraved, MOL!!

          2. You have it pretty good- just think of all the poor kitties outside with no families 🙁

  9. That is a great bunk bed. I would like the top one because I like being up high. When I was little I used to climb up in the elderberry tree to nap.
    Mum was right about stupid Feedly. We got 10 of your posts all arrive together yesterday.

    1. Funny you mention elderlberry, we just tried some elderberry jelly to see what it tastes like. I didn’t care for it. I thought it tasted like tea with no milk in it. Does your Mum make anything with them? Sorry about feedly 🙁

      1. She tried making elderflower wine once but didn’t like it so doesn’t use the flowers or the berries for anything. That tree is gone now, it was old and getting unsafe. There are lots more of them in the woods by the fields though.

        1. My hubby is planning to make elderberry wine with his cousin. He likes to try making wine with different fruits. Around here we have elderberry bushes, are your tall bushes or actual trees- my hubby is curious now?

  11. WOWZER! Your bunk beds are fantabulous! What a great idea……I should get Mom and Dad to make one for me – I could have the top bunk and the bottom one could be for all my toys! Oh wait – I can’t jump or climb anymore so maybe I’ll take the bottom!!!! HAHAHA

  14. Wow, I love those beds. My herd here could stand some stacked ceiling high and they’d fight over who got top bunk. I sleep in my own bunk bed, home made, cats get the top, was my theory, but no. They get the bottom too. With me. Smiles.
