Awww…Monday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays

Trouble is posing with the books I am currently reading.

The Manicurist’s Daughter by Susan Lieu is a memoir about a child of Vietnamese refugees in America and how their dream crumbles when the author’s mother dies during surgery.

Shy: The Alarmingly Outspoken Memoirs of Mary Rodgers by Mary Rodgers and Seth Green is also an interesting memoir. Mary Rodgers was the daughter of Richard Rodgers. She authored many books, including Freaky Friday.

Rosie will be here tomorrow will all her complaints gossip.

  2. Hi! I recently contacted you about Kiril’s Elvira. I am currently reading “Travels With Charley” by John Steinbeck.

  3. Don’t you just LOVE reading? It’s like candy for mama, or in her case, it’s like artichokes dipped in lemon butter or a really nice bowl of pasta alla romana! Books are nourishnent, that’s for sure.

  4. Trouble is doing a good job showing off a couple of good books that you found to read. Looking forward to seeing what Rosie has to tell us tomorrow we had rain yesterday and the temperature dropped all the way to 80 yesterday with humidity of 150. Better this morning.

  5. Mom loves to read. She just finished one longer book and started on another as soon as she could get up and go get it. She and her DIL go to a used book store often.

  6. Oh that first book sounds so sad! I hope the author found her American Dream despite the loss of her mother. That breaks my heart! Have a boogietastic week, Ellen!!

  7. Trouble is a cutie pie.

    Looks like two great reads.

  8. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I am ready for Rosie’s complaints! Does that make me a bad person? I worked retail for 19 years… I know about complaints.

  10. We hope Trouble enjoys listening as you read those books:). The first one intrigues Mom as her manicurists are a Vietnamese husband/wife team.
