Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, and Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)
This week’s theme is songs with numbers in the title.
- Goody Two Shoes ( Adam Ant, 1982)- https://youtu.be/27Tj-Xo_eqI
- Prince’s 1999 ( 1982 ) – https://youtu.be/rg1UX3HvseQ
- Bryan Adams’ Summer 0f 69-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f06QZCVUHg
I know I used Summer of ’69 before, but I love that song because I was born in the summer of 69.
Prince’s 1999 makes me feel old, I remember when it came out and 1999 seemed so far away. Now it seems so far away from the other side of it.
I chose Goody Two Shoes because I tap danced to that song in a dance recital many years ago.
And Joanie and Prancie have a spark for today:
“A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find, lucky to have.”
Happy Monday Kitties!
Thank you. Happy Monday to you too!
Love your Spark today because Mom says IT’s TOTALLY TRUE and that you are one of her favorite “four-leaf clovers” !
Love, Teddy
Thank you. And your Mom is one of my favorite four-leaf clovers. XO and love to you both
Three great tunes to wake up to this morning! Toe tapping! I graduated from high school in 1969!!!!
A perfect Spark today… so true. Looks like Joanie and Prancie are best friends!
Glad you liked the song choices. Yes, they stick together because some of the others are bullies and these two are sweet. XO
That is such a great spark and oh so true. We like those songs too. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you, you too 🙂
Purrfect Spark!
The Florida Furkids
Thank you 🙂
Purrfect Sparky Monday post! Have a meowing good week, dear furiends!
Thank you. We hope you have a good week too!
All great choices! I am a big fan of Bryan Adams. I saw him in concert a few years ago and he is an amazing performer.
How lucky you got to see him in concert.
Ellen,
I’m not sure that I remember ‘Goody Two Shoes’ but the title sounds familiar. Oh well…it sure is a toe-tapping good song! I couldn’t agree more about a friend is like a four-leaf clover. Have a tunetastic week, dearie!
Thank you- you too 🙂 XO
Love all the songs you posted. Such a long time ago on some of them.
I love all your kitties. You have a special place for me to visit every day.
Have a purrfect Awww Monday. ♥
Awww..thank you- you are too sweet. XO
Great song choices! Our mom loves all of them (even if she was born before the Summer of 1969). The spark is just lovely, and so true.
Glad she likes them too 🙂
Love the quote and your adorable kitties ~ xxx
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you 🙂
Three good ones here! I didn’t recognize the Adam Ant song by name. I think the radio stations used to stick it in the middle of a long set and wouldn’t announce the names of all the songs, figuring “yeah, they know what it is”…
Thank you. I hope you have a great week.
guyz….two dayz sparkz awesum……N sew iz de songz pix !!! we wood like ta menshun, 19th nervous breakdown; eight days a week, cloud nine ~~~ 🙂 ♥♥
I have not heard of 19th nervous breakdown, I will look it up. XO
As a kid, I used to search for 4-leaf clovers all of the time, and still have one preserved in tape and stored in my jewelry box. I loved Adam Ant!
That is great that you still have them. My hubby and I find quite a few in our field.
Your song choices are wonderful! I now have “Summer of ’69” stuck in my head, but I’m perfectly okay with that. Your story behind Goody Two Shoes made me remember the days when I used to tap dance as a child. I only did it for fun and never competed, which is probably a good thing, because I was really not very good at all. Joanie and Prancie, you two are too cute, and your Spark is purrfect! Happy Monday!
I did not compete either. I don’t like competing in anything. GLad you like the spark. XO
Those are good songs!
Mum is 3 years older than you and agrees with you about 1999. Summer of 69 a great track too and Mum says she was a big fan of Adam Ant, especially the earlier songs like Ant Music and Stand and Deliver.
Thank you. I am goad she liked my choices, I look forward to seeing hers. XO
Great Sparks and great music too!
Thank you 🙂
Darn! We forgot Goody Two Shoes. TW loved Adam & the Ants too. Amen to the spark.
Glad you like them too 🙂
Great music selections!!!
That is a wonderful spark. So true, a good friend is a treasure for sure.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Thank you 🙂
I love your Spark!!!! and 100% agree
Hugs madi your bfff
Thank you. 🙂
Great spark, and so true ! Purrs
Thank you. XO
Nice quote and fun song picks! We were born the same year, my dear, just a few months apart. And I have to share something funny. As my writing snippets indicate, my mind is often in the boudoir. ~wink~ Well, here I read the word ‘tap’ as ‘LAP’ and did a double-take. ~snicker~ What can I do? Be well, my dears.
That is a funny story 🙂 Somehow I don’t think that song would work for a lap dance.
That is cool we were born the same year.
Nice tunes!! my tunes are ready to listen to and please stop by a grab a piece of cake and celebrate a special lady in my life Birthday! http://mjgolch.blogspot.com/2018/07/a-happy-birthday-to-my-celestine.html
Great cake 🙂
My Mom LOVES that Prince song and the Bryan Adams song too!
Glad she likes my choices 🙂
Fun music and a fabulous SPARK! 😀
Thank you 🙂
Wow, just reading those names were a blast from the past. I used to always listen to the radio in my twenties and I remember them. I love Summer of ’69
Glad you like them.
Those are some great songs. The mom likes the Bryan Adams one too.
Glad you like my choices.
We love the spark! Our mommy remembers those songs because she was born the summer before you!
Thank you 🙂 We were both summer babies 🙂
Great song choices, and I love that quote!
Thank you 🙂
That’s a great picture! You two look very happy together. Summer of 69 was definitely a classic.
Thank you 🙂
Great Spark, great music!
Thank you 🙂
Hi girls! It’s nice that you can share space!
I am glad some can 🙂
Yeah–I’m like you — 1999 used to seem so far away when I was young and now it seems so far away from my youthful self!!!
Time goes by too fast.
Great Spark, miss Ellen! and some great music too. Now let’s put on those goody shoes and dance on the ant 😀 Double Pawkiss 🙂 <3
Thank you. I wish I could still dance. 🙂 XO
Sweet kitties! Have a lovely week!
Thank you, you too.
So sorry I’m so late, but it was truely beyond my control due to medical test that needed to be taken yesterday. So today I’m fulfilling my comments from our Monday’s Music Moves Me. 🙂 Now I see you have THREE very fine rockin’ tunes! Woo Hoo! My dancin’ shoes are on girlfriend… so what’s next??? Ahhhhh yesssss… partyin’ like it’s 1999! A favorite tune of mine, but I guess I need to come up to date, but for now let’s party like it’s 1999! doo doo doot do do do!!! ~HEHEHE~ and of course the PARTY OF 69!!!!! I was havin’ my first baby that year!~!! bwahahahaha Have a great day!
That is cool, I am the same age as your first child. I hope your tests went well.
Good friends are rare indeed! But they are precious and forever like diamonds!
Very true. XO
Great song choices and great spark! (Btw, I graduated from high school in ’99 and that was pretty much our theme song for everything!)
You are so young 🙂

Aww, I was born in the Winter of 68 so…LOL
I remember my tapdance days too and I loved that you picked the song in remembrance of those days. I am sure they were quite the “numbers”!
Thanks for playing this week.
That is cool that we are the same age 🙂
Love your song choices! Bryan Adams is always a favorite of mine. 😉 Thanks so much for the dance! 🙂
You’re welcome.
