Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, and Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)

The Mewsic theme this week is tv and movie themes from one’s childhood.

1.Grease (1978)-  https://youtu.be/OtOmKaVbP_A

2. The Facts of Life -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd6wEeKjbqg

3, Silver Spoons- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh6D4vGc8KQ Before I fell in love with Nicolas Cage, I had a big crush on Ricky Schroder.

Joanie is dressed in the mermaid costume and our quote is something we found on Pinterest, “There is a million fish in the sea, be a mermaid.”

    1. Maybe a mermeow, since its the human part being swapped out for a cat rather than the fish part. In any case, thanks Joanie and her human for the cute picture and those siren songs!

        1. Have a great day. Thanks for the reply. Joanie, you are a great looking mermaid.

  1. I found Ricky Schroder very interesting. He was a cute kid… I was probably old enough to be his Mom… Ha! Joanie you look lovely in the mermaid costume and I love the quote for Sparks!

  2. I’m old enough to know all those shows/movies! 🙂

Fun quote! And yes, definitely be a mermaid if you can. And a unicorn. Unicorns are nice, too.

  3. I’m with Joanie on being a mermaid. Great advice.

Love all the sound tracks of great shows from the past.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your mom. ♥

  4. Grease was still really popular with kids when I was in grade school. My sister and I used to watch it constantly. I haven’t seen it in a long time now. We also used to watch reruns of The Facts of Life. Come to think of it, a lot of the shows my sister and I watched as kids predated us. Family and children’s programs weren’t always all that impressive when I was growing up, I’ll admit, so I’m glad my parents introduced us to the good ol’ stuff. Oh, and Joanie, you make the most purrfect mermaid ever! Happy Monday!

  5. Three really good choices here! Of, course, I say that because I liked the movie and TV shows. Rick Schroder is one of those actors that made an almost seamless transition from child star to adult actor. He was great in “NYPD Blue.”

  6. guyz….de songs frum de food servizz gurlz child hood waz dinosaur roar and terra dactill screech ~~~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥ and joanie…ewe iz total lee gorgeouz in yur murr maidz coztoom 😉 ♥♥

  7. It’s a good thing our mom didn’t participate, because her choices would give away her old age. She loved the shows you chose, and she LOVES Grease! Joanie looks very cute.

  8. Does “The William Tell Overture”-the Lone Ranger’s theme song – count ?

  9. Joanie, you make the purrfect mermaid!

We hope all of you and your Mama too, are well 🙂

the critters in the cottage xo

  10. Some great shows ya picked there girlfriend… just got home and I’m bushed been in traffic most of the day. I had to take a trip to Dixon, IL and it’s like a 3 hour drive in this heat. bummmmmmmerrrrrrrrrr Home now… praise the Lord! have a great week.

  11. Ellen,

Joannie looks cute and the quote is fabulous! I want to be a mermaid, too!! “Grease” came out the year before we got married but we didn’t see it until years after that, as for your TV shows I do recall them. The Facts of Life came out while I was in high school and Silver Spoon aired while I was in college. I watched more TFoL than SS if I recall. It’s great having you on the dance floor. Have a good week, my friend!

  12. I couldn’t tell whether Joanie was showing off her mermaid costume or not exactly thrilled to be in it. 🙂 It’s very cute…

Definitely saw Grease, never watched Silver Spoons but loved the Facts of Life! Thanks for the reminders.

Hope you’re having a good weekend,
    Michele at Angels Bark
