Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! Today we are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that I got to see my Grammie on Wednesday. I love her so very much even if her and Mom were doing a puzzle and wouldn’t let us help.

I am also thankful to all the Veterans so that is what my poem is about this week for Sammy’s Poetry Day.

Tomorrow is a special day
it is even a legal holiday.
There are people that sacrifice
while we play with our catnip mice.
Make sure you thank a vet today
let them know they are appreciated in every way.

I have a question for you kitties. Do you ever get a boo boo on your lip from your fang bumping it? I have had one for over a week and Mom is planning to take me to the vet next week if it doesn’t improve. Could you please tell her that it is no big deal.

100_9875 Can you even see it?

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2. Maybe she will let me answer them this week.

  1. Oh what a GREAT subject for your “V” poem today…..I wish I’d though of it too because our veterans should be thanked for all they have done for our country. I hope your boo boo is no biggie – sometimes kitty fangs just get a bit ornery and cause an ouchie.

    Hugs, Sammy

  2. Veterans and those in the service are very dear to my heart, too!

Trust me when i say, even though you don’t want to hear it, it’s best to go to the doctor and get that lip looked at. Dental trouble can be very, very serious and you want to get it taken care of as fast as possible.

    1. Thank you, this isn’t dental my fang is fine, but it is sharp and cut my lip. Unless it was Brody’s fault?

  3. What a wonderful post for Thankful Thursday! I am so glad that you got to see your grammie, Phoebe, even if she was preoccupied. And your poem is simply purrfect! We want to thank all of the vets for their service to our country. I’m sure your lip sore is nothing to fret over, but it certainly won’t hurt that your mom is planning to take you in to have it checked out, just in case. Paying your veterinarian a visit isn’t so bad, is it, Phoebe? We’re loving the look of these fill-ins, and we’ll see you tomorrow with our best attempts at them. Purrs!

    1. Thank you, I am glad you like my poem. I would rather Mom spend money on treats than a vet bill- MOL!

  4. I know you love your Grammie so much. I’m very happy that you do, but they should have let you help with the puzzle.

Oh no on the boo boo. I hope it heals quickly and there isn’t a vet involved.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ☺

  5. Phoebe, a wonderful poem for our veterans! Did your momma think it was about veterinarians? I would do the same thing, however, sweet Phoebe…if your wound is not better, then an expert needs to take a look. Hope you are okay!

    1. There are a lot of you too and it has never happened- I wonder if Brody did this to me? Thank you for the purrs. XO

  6. What a lovely poem and mom likes your wallpaper border too.
I have not had a boo boo. I hope yours heals fast.

Love your poem for veterans. Have a great day xoxo

  10. We don’t see a Boo Boo, but is that because mew’ve got a soft focus happening? MOL But seriously Phoebe, your mom is right to take mew to get it checked out if its not better in a few days… err on the side of caution 😀

  11. How smart of you to write a poem for Veteran’s Day with it coming up on Friday. Our mom never even thought of that. We owe these brave individuals so much. We can’t see your boo-boo. If we have marks on our face, it is always because we had a scuffle with one of our housemates. Hope your fang wound heals without a trip in the PTU to see the vet. 16. Sorry about your boo boo Phoebe. I know they can hurt. My boo boos have all healed but 2 and I’m feeling much better. I hope yours heal okay so you don’t have to go to the vet. Give my love to Penny and your mom!

  17. I can see your fever blister. Perhaps you have a little jagged edge on your fang.

    1. Civility should be taught in schools.
    2. The last item I donated was my prize of a scratcher, cat bed and more to Mamma Kat’s Hope Chest.
    3. My (personal) song is You Are So Beautiful, because I am. TW has lots of personal songs but lately it’s been People Have the Power altho Moonchild River Song was kinda written for her.
    4. Three things I am thankful for this week are: my condo, Pop, and my blogging furrends.

    1. Great answers to your fill-ins, thank you for participating. That was nice of you to donate to Mamma Kat’s hope chest, we hope she gets her forever home soon. That is the perfect song for you CK. XO

  18. I got an ouchie on my lip when my vet pulled my fang. Mom thinks it was caused during the procedure but it healed within a week or so.

  19. I’m sorry that you have a boo-boo. I hope that it gets better over night so that you don’t have to go to the vet.

That is a nice poem. 🙂 Our Marine loves kitties. There is a picture of him with a kitty in the slideshow on McClendon Villa. That kitty lives in Okinawa, Japan.

I’m glad that you got to see Grammie and sorry that you didn’t get to help with the puzzle. Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thank you, I still have the boo boo, but it is healing. We will have to check out the slideshow. Have a wonderful weekend!

  20. It shuld have been your helping paws that out the puzzle together…or do they bat the pieces into position instead??
Glad you did gett o see your Gramie, though:)

Hope that ouchie is not anything worrisome.
