The Black Cat Blue Sea Award

Hi everyone! We thank you for all the compliments on our costumes yesterday. Our friend Jeanne Foguth recently nominated Phoebe and I for The Black Cat Blue Sea Award. We are also thrilled that she has dedicated her latest book Me-YEOW! to our angel Spooky. You can read about it if you click here. Thank you Jeanne!

The Black Cat Blue Sea Award is for blogs who have inspired and moved a wide audience and there is humor for a smile or a chuckle. The rules are to link to the blog that nominated you ( see above), answer the questions and choose 8 blogs to nominate.

1.) What inspired you to start your blog? I felt that after living with so many cats for so many years that I had some knowledge to share. I also wanted to find a way to help cats in need without actually working with them directly because if I did that, I would end up being a hoarder.

2.)What was your dream of life as a teen? I envisioned a perfect cookie cutter life: Husband, twins, and working as a teacher. I am much happier with how things worked out though.

3.)Do you have any regrets? My only regret is not starting an exercise regimen when I was younger because it seems impossible now.

Sorry that I didn’t let Phoebe answer any of the questions, but they were not really kitty appropriate.

I can’t choose just 8 bloggers, I enjoy every blog that I read so please take this award if you didn’t already receive it.

And the winner of Phoebe’s Day of the Dead Giveaway is Bad Cat Chris. Congratulations!

  1. Congratulations! Your blog inspires me, i’m glad you started it. By the way, Hilary is right about never too late. An experiment was done about 20 years ago with men in their 90s in nursing homes, to see if exercise would help them get stronger, and it did! Some who had been in wheelchairs graduated to walkers, even. It was a small experiment, but it shows that you can build muscle and get stronger at any age!

  2. Concatulations on this very deserved award! We love visiting your blog each and every day, and it certainly is a wonderful inspiration to many. Also, concatulations to Bad Cat Chris on these fun winnings! Purrs to all!

  8. Great answers, but TWINS?!? I guess they could entertain each other, but my initial thought was: double the chaos & diapers.

Me-YEOW! should be available by December… Mr. M plans to have a cover reveal on purrseidon.wordpress.com soon.

    1. Good point, probably for the best that didn’t happen.
I will spread the word about Me-YEOW! 🙂

  9. Congratulations on your award. I’m sorry for missing this post, especially since you announced that Chris won your giveaway. As you probably know, Chris’s old shelter got the prizes you sent and I wanted to thank you for making extra toys for them. They sent me a few pictures, which I will post on Bad Cat Chris tomorrow. Thanks again.
