Thank you Jeanne Foguth for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award– I accept.
The Rules:
1) Thank the person who nominated you.
2) Answer the 11 questions you were asked.
3) Nominate 11 other bloggers and let them know they were nominated.
4) Ask the nominees 11 questions.
The Questions I was asked:
1. All super heroes have their mild-mannered secret identity, what is yours?
Quiet lady that always goes to the library.
2. What is your favorite game?
Cribbage is my favorite card game. I love the game Operation when I can get someone to play with me.
3. If location and money were immaterial and you could live anywhere, where would that be? I would live most of the time right where I am. I would also have an apartment in New York City with a door man.
4. If you could relive your life, would you make any changes? If yes, what?
I would take better care of my body physically. I would develop an exercise habit while I was young that would hopefully last my lifetime. I would also not have majored in Elementary Education/Psychology in college, I would have focused on writing.
5. What would your ideal meal be and who would you share it with?
I love The Cheesecake Factory ( luckily the closest is an hour away). I would love to go with my Mom and hubby, but the 3 of us are never out at the same time. If I go out with the hubby, my Mom watches the cats and vice versa. We would split nachos, then I would get their orange chicken over rice followed by strawberry cheesecake. I love their mushroom soup too so I want some of that as well.
6. What’s in store for you in the future? Do you have any big projects on the horizon?
I am going to be babysitting my niece’s baby on Thursdays and Fridays. I have never been a baby person, but she is the sweetest, cutest baby ever. I love her innocence and seeing her change from week to week.
7. What/who was your all-time favorite pet? That is a tough one. KaChoo was my first cat ( 1994-2010) and was very special , but Lucy ( 1999-2015) and I had a special bond. And I will never forget Stinky either.
8. If you had the power to change the world, what would you do?
I would make sure every cat had a forever home. If they were truly feral, they would have a safe place and food.
9. What has been your best/most memorable experience along the way?
It wasn’t my best, but definitely memorable. I was an extra in 30 Rock in 2008. I got to sit near Alec Baldwin ( couldn’t talk though, extras are the bottom of the totem pole). It was still fun to see the process of making a tv show. And I was visible in the finished product.
10. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Not sure where it came from, I read it in a book- do what you love and the money will follow. I am definitely doing what I love so I am sure the money will follow soon 🙂
11. All super heroes have a special power, what is yours?
I can spot a cat anywhere. I am always saying to my Mom, ” did you see that cat? I want
it. ” Then she tells me I am hallucinating.
My nominees: I know it says to pick 11, but I am going to break the rules and open it to whoever wants to do it. I know this one is time-consuming and a lot of you don’t have time, but I would love to read your answers to my questions:
- For what are you most grateful?
- What is one thing about your life you wish you could change?
- What talent do you wish you had?
- Do you prefer to read an actual book or the e-version?
- What is your favorite book?
- If you could go back in time, what year would you choose?
- Cats should be indoor only- true or false?
- Do you believe in ghosts?
- What is a bad habit you have? ( Come on, we all have them)
- What would you like to learn more about?
- Do you have any connections to Nic Cage? I really want to meet him.
If you have read this far, you deserve a prize: A tummy and toesies photo of Joanie.
Happy Groundhog Day!
loved learning more about you and guess what? I was an extra too! I was on “Hung” and in a movie that barely made it to the theaters “Salvation Blvd”….wasn’t it fun?
It was an experience 🙂 Nothing I would want to do again- unless Nic Cage would be on the set 🙂
I made it to the end! It was interesting to read more about you! 🙂 <3 And Joanie is as always gorgeous!
Thank you for reading to the end 🙂 I hope you can do it too so I can learn more about you. Joanie says thank you 🙂
Very cool questions you were asked! Mom said she will answer your questions soon. Love the photo of Joanie. Pawkisses to Penny. And, I’m still waiting to see a photo of Millie so I can approve him for BobbieSue!!! No pressure, although, BobbieSue is bugging me about it. She must want a boyfriend more than I thought!!
I look forward to your Mom’s answers to my questions. Millie will have a photo up tomorrow, he is nervous.
SUPER answers to all those questions and congratulations on the award too! Well done……isn’t it FUN to find out stuff about our friends we didn’t know? I might try and do this one just for the heck of it……if I can find the time!!!!! Thanks for the tummy/toesies – Joanie did a good combination photo for sure!
Hugs, Sammy and Mom Pam
I hope you do answer my questions. Joanie says thank you too. XO

I am very glad that your food service girl gave up smoking, it is an awful habit and so bad for her health.
You breathed the same air as Alec Baldwin?!? Geez oh man, that’s cool!
Thank you, yes I did. I heard him order his vegetarian lunch too 🙂
I made it too and found it interesting actually. We LOVED the toesies at the end. What a great reward!
Thank you for reading all the way to the end. I am glad you liked Joanie’s photo 🙂 I would love for you to answer the questions if you have time.
Congrats on getting this award! It’s awesome that you got to be on 30 Rock. Being an extra can be fun. I’m with you on things I would do better in life. I wish I would have begun healthier eating and exercise habits as a child. It is hard to start as an adult!
Thank you. Being an extra was fun in some ways and awful in others. I hate the way extras are treated.
I will try to remember to post this on Thursday. I actually like getting awards and answering questions.
I didn’t know you majored in Psychology, too!! I have a mental health blog I keep thinking about reviving.
It’s great to learn more about you!
I would love to see your answers to my questions and I would also love to see your mental health blog- are the old posts still out there?
That pic of Joanie is a sweet reward. I enjoyed reading all your answers.
Thank you for reading all my answers. Joanie says thank you too.
Congrats on your award! I loved reading your answers. These kinds of fun things always help me to better get to know everyone in this wonderful blogging community, and I enjoy that so much. Since I enjoyed reading your answers I didn’t need an incentive to reach the end, but Joanie’s tummy and toesies are a purrfect reward regardless!
Thank you for reading all my answers. If you have time, I hope you will answer my questions. Joanie says thank you 🙂

Joanie and I both thank you 🙂
Ellen, I enjoyed your answers to my questions. Was fascinated to know that The Cheesecake Factory actually exists – thought this was a fictional name from Big Bang Theory. BTW, bravo for thinking of opening it up to everyone – I had a terrible time narrowing it down to eleven blogs.
Yes, The Cheesecake Factory is heavenly. I love The Big Bang Theory too 🙂 I don’t like anyone to ever feel left out and I know some people are too busy so I leave it optional 🙂
We enjoyed your answers! Now we want cheesecake! 🙂
Thank you. I would like some cheesecake too. 🙂
Well, this is an award made just for you, Ms. Sunshine. *wink*
I love the questions and your answers. I really hope you are going to create a meme like this (in some way). You would do so well. Let me know. I am in!
Thank you, you are very sweet 🙂 I do want to do something with fill-ins or questions to get to know everyone better.
MOL! Meowmy read all of this interesting and informative post! And seeing the tummy and toesies was worth it!!
You sure came up with unique answers, and questions too. Though we will just quietly stop there…when meowmy has shifts like last night she does not wish to be beholden to blogging, in fact she came home so late, not having had a break even, and so she did the kitty and doggy chores and then she crashed into her nest. She almost furgot to get up this am to go to the appointment she had, Oops! She got there about 2 minutes late…sigh…and the worst part was, it was a spawsial day fur one of our angel furs…she will have to write about it later…cause its late once again, MOL!
I wish your Mom had time to answer my questions. I am sorry your Mom is so busy that she didn’t get to do a special angel post. I am sure she will get to soon though.
Concats on your award! Me and my mum enjoyed your answers and she said she would love to meet Nic Cage too. That is a lovely tummy and toesies photo, Joanie. They look like bunny kickers.
Thank you, I would love to see your Mom;s answers if she has time. Nic Cage is the best. Joanie says thank you.
Don’t tell me the Sunshine Award is going around again or is this a new version? Thanks for not tagging me. I enjoying reading your answers.
I am not sure if it is new or not because we never had it before. We didn’t tag anyone, we left it optional because a lot of people are busy. We would love to read your answers though.
