Friendly Fill-Ins Week 502

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I recommend everyone ____________________ this year.
2. My _________________ is ______________________and I __________________.

3. I try to save money by _________.

4. I sometimes let myself splurge on _________.
My answers:
1. I recommend everyone write their final wishes down this year. Not meaning to sound morbid, but it is so important to do.
2. My house is a mess and I don’t care. My husband and I are so busy trying to clean out his sister’s house and barn that I haven’t had time to clean, and I am too tired to care.

3. I try to save money by going to the library instead of purchasing books.

4. I sometimes let myself splurge on Halloween decorations before they are on sale.  OK, I do that every year for fear they will sell out.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi
The flashback is from January 2019. Angel Emmy did not agree with me about this stuffy looking like her.

  1. That is a sweet picture of Emmy with the stuffie…whether it resembled her or not!
    1. I recommend everyone take good care of themselves this year.

    2. My house is full of dogy dust bunnies and I have a hard time finding the time to vacuum…and to use the furminator on Benji!.

    3. I try to save money by waiting for good sales and using the store brands as much as possible.

    4. I sometimes let myself splurge on dog puzzle toys to keep their minds active. (Dalton is actually better at them than Benji, LOL! He knows how to open the little drawers, and Benji has not figured that out yet, even after many months with the same puzzle. He just gives up and lays down, teehee!)

  2. Oh I definitely see a resemblance between Emmy and the adorable Stuffy but Emmy is still cuter! You all have such a huge project going on with clearing out the home of your hubby’s sister – it a huge job and you’re right that we ALL should have our final wishes written down. At least you have a reason your own house needs a good clean – – I don’t have an excuse other than I just don’t FEEL like it! LOL

    Big Hugs, Pam

  3. Sweet angel Emmy was not near as big as that squeezy. It probably is quicker to find books on the internet and buy them and have them delivered. I always go to the library and I thoroughly enjoy that little bit of peace and quiet that I have there.

  4. That’s a sweet pic of Angel Emmy, and I see a resemblance with the stuffy. Your housecleaning can wait. Besides, you’re only one person, and take it step by step.

  5. I loved the fill-ins. I always do!! I am so glad you both work on those for us. They are fun to do and fun to read. And by the way, Angel Emmy was beautiful. Flat out a beautiful girl!!!

  6. We did our will and last wishes last year and it’s a relief when it’s done. Life is fragile. You never know when your time is up.

  7. I have a terrible head cold, so I can’t think straight. Wanted to wish you a happy day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

  8. Agreed: use the library, and save $$$!
If I like an author and the library doesn’t have their books, I email the director and politely suggest that we get them.
So far, my suggestions like this have been popular.
Your public library is interactive; ask for stuff; the librarians need to hear what you want.
Just sayin’…sorry, didn’t mean to get on the soapbox…hahaha.

    1. That is a good idea. We can order books from any library in the region and they get delivered to ours so I do that all the time. XO

  9. The photo of Emmy is adorable and just made my morning❤️ The stuffy is not as adorable as Emmy but it is pretty darn cute! We have done #1 but it keeps changing and it is an angsty thing to do. Ellen, #2… being too tired to care is okay in my opinion with what you have going on. Halloween decorations are important and and create joy💃
    My Fill-Ins~
    1. I recommend everybody find a friend(s) and laugh a lot about funny things this year.
    2. My quirkiness is a gift and I embrace it.
    3. I try to save money by eating less Kinder Chocolate.
    4. I sometimes let myself splurge on mechanical pencils. Got that from my Mom.
Be good Meowing Crew… your Peeps are busy!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I agree about Emmy. Thank you for these great answers. You deserve to splurge whenever you want. 🙂 XO

  10. Ellen I 100% agree about final wishes.
Last year reviewing and making changes in our wills was our priority and selecting head stones and engraving. All accomplished. No guessing on what we want.
    Hugs cecilia

  12. Yup, you’re so correct…write it down, that way there won’t be any room for misinterpretation-great fill-ins with good advice. I think you were right about Angel Emmy-she did look a lot like that stuffie. 😂

  13. I will pray you and your husband get his sister’s house done soon, it’s hard to have all of that hanging over your head.

Angel Emmy was much prettier than the stuffy. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

  14. YIKESS Aunty Ellen that cleenin out THE Sistur-Inn_Law’ss house soundss inntense!! Pace yoreselvess OKay? BellaSita has her WILL thingy dun. Plus it iss set up Aunty Sheila iss mee Guardian. An then Aunty Rachel an Unkell Rob are my 2nd Guardianss.
‘angel’ Emmy an stuffie due reesemble each other…butt Emmy WAS cuter! 😉
***nose rubss*** BellaDharma an (((hugss))) BellaSita Mum

    1. Thank you. We are sort of pacing ourselves by going twice a week instead of more than that. Your mum is very wise to have arrangements for you if God forbid, something should happen to her. XO

  15. We miss you, Emmy! Your parents remain the best. ~hugs~ And Ellen, I have to admit a small regret. Decades ago, before inflatable decorations were a huge thing, our Sam’s Club had a cool haunted castle/archway. My husband wanted to wait. Then it was gone. ~sigh~ Oh, well, the winds are probably too high from the back hill, anyway. My Styrofoam tombstones end up all over the neighborhood every October. lol Be well!

  16. Adorable photo! Completely agree on 1 and 4. I agree on 2 as well but things keep breaking in my house and I get tired of apologizing for the mess.
