Hi everyone. I got to open the door on the Advent calendar today.
I got a little Santa with a feather on it. It was much more fun after my mom dipped it in silvervine.
The girls were here briefly with their mom on Sunday. The Great One visited me and I let her pet me.
Rudy had to go to the vet yesterday. He has a little bump on his neck that Mom was worried about being a mast cell tumor. They did a needle aspirate, and it doesn’t look cancerous, but it needs to be removed and biopsied to be safe. One good thing, he will be sedated, but not completely under anesthesia.
Rudy also has a lot of gingervitis. I wonder if that is because he is a ginger colored cat? He will need a dental after the holidays.
Penny went to the vet on Saturday and despite the gabapentin, she went psycho. She needed an antibiotic shot again and a steroid shot. The daily prednisone just doesn’t help much. She can’t keep getting the steroid shots though because they could cause diabetes.
Well, I need to go work on my letter to Santa. See you next week.
Silvervine and a visit with the Great One, sounds good, Rosie! Sorry to hear about Rudy’s biopsy and dental, but purrs here for all to go smoothly. Same purrs for Penny to do well also. XO

Oh, so sorry for your kitties’ troubles and no, you do NOT want diabetes, which is what I had, as you know, and it’s really a bad thing for kitties so I’m glad I do NOT have it now, haha. Love and good health from us. How nice to have silvervine to dip in….

Silvervine makes toys so much better, Rosie. I hope the little lump is benign when Rudy has it removed and his dental goes well after Christmas. Did Penny have the Gabapentin to sedate her? I didn’t know it did that, I take it 3 times daily for nerve pain caused by CIPN, but it never makes me feel at all sedated.

Dear Rosie that’s an awful lot of doctor stuff going on at your house. Precious wants to tell your mommy that she still sleeping on her Christmas blanket we got last year. I put fresh silver vine on it yesterday and she went nuts.

Sasha is getting her neck lump looked at tomorrow. Regular vet said not to worry but you know how human moms are. So she’s going for a second opinion to make sure. She will be nuts (Sasha not the cat mom). She doesn’t travel well. She will sing the songs of her people! (Maybe the cat mom will sing the song of her people too!)
I hope Sasha’s lump is OK. Brody does that too. XO
It sounds like a lot on your parent’s plate, especially at Christmas and holiday time. I am praying for all of you.
Also, it’s wonderful you let The Great One pet you. She’s old enough to know how to be like a grown-up around cats, so it should be very safe.

Rosie, and you got something very cute. Hopefully you are into feather toys but if not the silvervine clinched it. It seems The Great One likes to visit and pet you♥ Fingers crossed here for Rudy’s surgery and nothing showing up with the biopsy. Poor Penny I wish they would find something that helps her skin issues. Yes, get going on your letter to Santa… time is flying by… but I bet you are lucky and don’t notice that so much!
