Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that the girls are loving school so far and they each ended up with their BFF in their class.
Also thankful for the garden continuing to produce wonderful veggies and fruit (watermelon and cantaloupe). We do have a strange pepper plant though- the peppers are all upside down.
I skipped the poem yet again this week.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I define success by ________________________.
2. _____________________was an awkward moment.
3. I learned to _________ when I was _________ years old.
4. I can only _________ so much _________ before I _________.

School days!! I used to love the first few days….way back when…then reality hit! LOL!
Those peppers are big and tasty looking, even if they decided to not be like other peppers in their growth pattern! Teehee!
Yes, they taste the same. XO
Always better when you like school! There’s nothing like stuff fresh from the garden! XO
Very true on both accounts. XO
It is good that the girls both have a friend in their new class. The peppers are looking good. I have tried growing melons without success. They would probably have done better this year with the hotter late spring and summer we had.
Thank you. 🙂 Melons are tough, but they do like the heat. XO
Great news about the girls in school. I remember there were some years I didn’t like going and there were other years that I actually loved it. I guess we all go through those stages.
Thank you. 🙂 I liked learning, but not so much being with other kids. 🙂 XO
The heat did our veggies in.
That stinks.
I’m glad the girls like school. The years I liked the most was when I was in college. Those peppers are big, and I bet they will be delicious.
Yes, college is good because you finally learn what you want. XO
You’re blessed to have a garden producing such wonderful fruits and veggies.
And a hubby who weeds and fertilizes. 🙂
Good to hear the girls are off to a great start! The peppers might be strange but they are beautiful.
Thank you. 🙂 And tasty too. XO
Java Bean: “Ayyy, we love watermelon and cantaloupe too, if you have any spares!”
Charlee: “You can have it all, Bean. We cats don’t want any.”
Chaplin: “Our Dada doesn’t like bell peppers, but maybe he would like upside-down bell peppers if they taste the opposite …”
Sorry, you are on the other side of the country so they would be rotten. They taste the same. 🙂
Oh I wish I had grown some peppers this year!!!!
If I lived near you, I would give you some. XO
Wow! Garden harvest sounds great and glad the ‘girls’ are liking school ~ Wishing you a happy day ~ hugs,

Thank you. 🙂 XO
Watermelons and cantaloupe … Wow! Mom wishes she had a garden and could grow those. Too many critters here, however. Mom pulled up a volunteer pumpkin plant from the yard, but if it had any pumpkins growing on it; they were already eaten. Looks like the girls enjoy the same things, which is nice. My hubby has fencing and an electric fence on top of the regular fence. XO
Glad to hear the girls are liking school. The garden looks wonderful.
Thank you. 🙂
My garden is a weed bed this year! At least the strawberries have taken over about 1/2 the space, so it should be OK until next year. Glad to hear that school is going great! My Grand Nephew (6) was so very happy that he gets the same teacher this year that he had last year! Keep being awesome! Barb
Glad your nephew is happy about school too. XO
No such thing as too much watermelon in my book!
Same here. 🙂
OMCs Ellen I do truly know how imPAWtant it is to have a bestie in your class and my daughter always worried she would have to eat lunch alone thankful she didn’t as we all know that is the worst
Apologies for being late
I twisted my ankle (really bad) last night. Spent the morning at my doc’s office getting it checked out and xrays
It is better today and she doesn’t think it is broken. Hope to hear from xrays tomorrow
Hugs cecilia
I remember eating lunch alone sometimes. Ouch on the ankle- hope it heals quickly. That is a long time for x-ray results. XO
Hooray for enjoying school, that’s a great thing! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. 🙂
Gosh, school days seems like a million years ago. I have noticed traffic is a bit congested with buses and cars all round 7:30.
Same here.
Who cares how the peppers look, if they’re delicious, use ’em!
I’m glad the girls are with their friends in school classes.
They are tasty. Thank you. 🙂
Glad the girls are enjoying school. The peppers are a good size, even if they are growing the wrong way.
Thank you. 🙂
Glad the girls are getting off to a great start this school year. Your veggies are quite impressive. Our tummies doesn’t care what veggies look like-it’s the taste that matters most to most!
Your fur-iend,
Wilson 🐾
Thank you. 🙂 Good point. XO
