Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone!

It has been a rough week. The kids were here two times since I last wrote. They were here for Mom’s birthday party. And the girls were here Monday. They spent the entire day making slime- can you believe it?

If you are looking to buy some stock, you should buy some in glue and slime activator. These kids alone will make you rich.

Dad is happy because over a year ago, he bought some shitake mushroom plugs and they finally flushed. That is fancy mushroom talk meaning they grew.

I was wondering if you could all settle something for my folks. Which way does the Dawn dish liquid bottle go?

Mom likes it this way, but Grammie and Dad keep flipping it over.

Well, that is all for now. Penny will be here next week with some money saving tips for you. And I will be in hiding because the kids will be around a lot.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. So much happening, Nosey Rosie! Good thing the girls are keeping busy making the slime! And wow, mushrooms are mushrooming, good going! That’s interesting about the Dawn soap … No real opinion but it looks like it was made to go the way your Mom has it. XO

  2. GREAT GABS, Ms Rosie. Mama wants some mushroom thingies…where do you get them? Mama says use another dish soap from a company that knows where ‘up’ is…and mama has also just bought shares in Slime Sensations Corp. and Grasping Glue Conglomerate and knows we’ll all be rich by next month if the girls keep at it. These tips ROCK!

  3. Belated Birthday wishes- we’ve been a bit behind. Oh, and my dad says he wants that giggle-worthy T-shirt!

  4. Rosie that is really something about the mushrooms. And I would not want to get in the middle of the argument about which way the soap bottle goes. I’m afraid somebody might pop the lid and score it on me. Then went into the Dollar Tree yesterday and saw all kinds of Halloween decorations. In this heat and reminded her that fall will be cooler.

  5. Rosie, you’re full of interesting news today! Thanks for the stock tip on the slime. LOL Wow, look at those mushrooms, shrooming! I agree with Mom about the Dawn liquid soap bottle. Otherwise, the label will be upside down.

  6. Good gabbing Rosie! We have our Dawn in a small bottle I keep filled. It has to be flipped… It can only stand up one way. Dawn is a miracle… it does so many things. I don’t know where I would be without it. It’s great for eyeglass cleaning. We will think about investing in slime activator!
    So lucky with those mushrooms!

  7. Dawn bottle goes so you can properly read the label! I didn’t know you can get mushroom plugs. I’ve seen small kits for growing white button mushrooms but nothing else.

  8. Thanks for giving us the news, Rosie.
Have attended a class on mushroom foraging, and would enjoy gathering food from nature.
Does taking apples that I can reach from the sidewalk from a neighbor’s yard count, or picking mulberries?
    😉

  9. Chaplin: “Our dish soap is in one of those under the counter pump things, but I am pretty sure that if it were in a bottle like that, our Dada would store it the same way you do. Otherwise the writing would be upside-down and that would drive him crazy.”

  10. MOL MOL fancy mushroom talk…giggling.
I especially like my ketchup, mustard and mayo stored on flat top down.
I don’t have any dish detergent with a flat top
    Hugs cecilia

  11. I called my broker and have invested as you recommended. You made me laugh out loud.

    Yummy on the mushrooms.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

  12. guyz…did ewe help make any slime? ewe could putz a tinee plazic toy in de middull sew when itz squished, ya see de toy ‼️‼️ N dadz mushroomz iz doin grate…pizza partee time 🍕🍕🍕‼️😸🐟💙🦋

    1. We did not help. Once it a while they drop some and it gets fur on it and they throw it away. They do add tiny toys. Mom suggested pizza with them. XO

  13. Funguy!!! That’s a great shirt. What do the girls do with all that slime???

As for the Dawn, is that one of those questions like which way to put the toilet paper roll on? Mom says she likes the bottle like you have it in the photo. That way it is always ready to release some Dawn.

    Woos – Misty and Timber

    1. He put that on for the photo. 🙂 They just like to make it- they want to sell it. Mom thanks you for agreeing with her on the Dawn. XO

  14. I agree with your mom on the Dawn. I love mushrooms – but they’re kinda creepy looking too!

  15. I’m sorry for all the children disrupting your already arduous life. 😉 Some days, I don’t know how you survive.

Your talented dad needs to set up his own blog for gardening tips. 😀 I want to grow mushrooms, for one thing, but hobbiest prices seem too high. Of course, I should do more research myself. lol And please tell your mom that an upright label indicates how the product should be stored. ~nods~ Of course that notion goes out the window when I want to extract every last bit. Heh… Best wishes to you and yours!

    1. Do I detect a note of sarcasm? 🙂
Mom thanks you for siding with her in the dish liquid debate. I will have my dad send you some tips. 🙂 XO

  16. If slime is what they like, let them make slime, it sounds like fun.

The bottle belongs the way your Mom has it, the label should be right-side-up. It’s the same on the squeeze ketchup, mustard, mayo and other condiment bottles, it’s the manufacturers answer to people saying products are hard to get out of the bottom and making it easier to use all of the contents.
