Hi everyone! I am enjoying the calm before the storm that is summer vacation.
The girls get out of school on June 18th. Mom is already planning lots of things to do with them. She got a slime making kit and this:
Yes, a lemonade stand-crazy!
And mom usually waits until at least July to start getting Halloween stuff, but it is only May and she already got this spider.
He is soft and makes a nice pillow.
So Friday has another vet appointment today. Mom decided to move her over to the new vet Penny sees because they can schedule her dental sooner. I heard her tell Dad he has to go with them because he is old and they can get a senior discount. Seems to me there was a nicer way to tell him that.
And last Friday was our 11th Blogoversary which mom forgot until someone who had seen it on The Cat Blogosphere page wished us a happy one.
Well, that is all I have for this week. Penny will be here next week with some Father’s Day ideas.

I hope Friday’s appointment goes well with the new vet. You look very comfy using that big spider as a pillow. It sounds like you need to get plenty of rest while you can! Both of us get senior discounts in a lot of places. There are a few benefits to getting old, and the alternative is much worse!

I use two vets. One is what I can my “bread and butter” vet. She does standard issues and simple surgeries. She does not have ultrasound or do dental x-rays but she also has a senior discount and a wonderful loving staff. Her hours are more limited. The other place is a little less personal, has more turnover but they have fancy equipment for complicated issues and weekend and evening hours. Last year I had two dentals at the bread and butter vet and I got a $50 off coupon for my next visit plus the senior discount (which the other vet does not do). Woohoo! I used it for Sasha’s checkup this spring. Every little bit helps. Vet care (along with everything else) has gotten expensive. Good luck to Friday!
Yes, very expensive. One place I was going quotes 2 grand for the dental. The other, $600-$1000 before the senior discount.

YOu’ll handle the girls just fine! And goodness knows when it comes to dentals, or anything, a vet that doesn’t charge quite as much as the worst ones these days (like I used to have before mom changed last Fall) is worth going to!
