Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi, I was going to tell you the rest of our nicknames today, but I have plenty of other news.

It has been another busy week around here.

The Boy was here a day last week. Dad gave him a toy chainsaw. It was quite noisy. I am glad he took it home with him.

Penny had her vet appointment. Of course, the vet thought the fur test done by mail was irrelevant. Penny is going to try a different allergy medicine, Atopica. Have any of you ever tried that?

Poor Penny, she has a bad reputation. When the vet and tech were coming into the exam room, she heard the vet say, “good, you have the welding gloves in there.” Mom asked if Penny had difficult marked on her file and the vet said she did. It reminded Mom of an episode of Seinfeld where Elaine got marked as difficult and couldn’t even get a vet to see her. Does anyone remember that episode? If not, here is a clip from it:

Don’t tell Rusty, but his turn at the vet is Wednesday and then next Monday, Brody and Friday have appointments. Glad I haven’t had to go yet this year.

When Penny went to the vet a month ago, she must have gotten some germs because she was sneezy soon after. Now poor Penelope has it and so does Friday. I hope I don’t get it.

Well, that is all for this week.

  1. So much going on out your way, Rosie! Love that picture of you! Not familiar with Atopica, we hope it works for Penny. I’d forgotten that Seinfeld episode! Hope everyone has good vet visits, and that all the sneezes go away! XO

  2. Oh, great Nosies, Rosie! Better step aside for that chain saw….and we hope all your kitty friends get their health back after the vet visits. You look exhausted after having collected all these tidbits! Thanks for the gossip, we love it!

  3. Noisy toys and a vet trip…boy it sounds like it has been busy there. Hope the change of medication helps Penny out.

  4. Dear Rosie, I’m afraid that’s just too much going on with so many doctor appointments for all of you. And to bring home a Sneezy bug and then spread it, that’s not a good thing. We have our paws 🐾 folded in prayer that all works out well. And it certainly sounds like it’s a good thing that toy went home with the boy.

  5. Rosie, you poor kitty putting up with all the hoopla. I hope the new meds work for Penny, and Penelope and Friday get well soon.

  6. I hope you do tell us the nicknames in the future, Rosie. I am so sorry some of the Meowing Crew have the sneezies from a V E T germ. I hope noBODY else gets it. It’s hard to believe that Penny is a hard to manage patient! I hope the new medicine works! I think the new chainsaw is fun for The Boy but I would be glad that he took it home. Boys do tend to be noisie… I know from experience with SSNS nephew and great nephews.

  7. Rosie, I hope all goes well and like you, I say thank goodness that chainsaw went home with the boy! All the wood chips flying would have been a mess and your furs would have saw dust in them!
