I am thankful that the deli worker called me miss instead of ma’am (I hate that word) and the man in front of me at the convenience store called me young lady. I felt old when just last week, a grocery store cashier called me madam. I felt like asking him if I look like I run a brothel?
And Bridget and Ethel are thankful for each other.

Myself, I don’t mind the ma’am so much but I feel like I’m ancient when someone would call me Madam…
I guess they think they are being respectful, when they don’t know your name.

You give mama such a tickle….madam, indeed! We laughed all morning, and mama has the same feeling about ‘Susan’ when she is NOT a Susan at all but a Suzanne. Love the two sweet kitties thankful for one another.
