Hi everyone. Don’t worry, my Rosie is not in Italy. I have a NetGalley review today.

*Disclosure: I received a free eversion of A Rosie Life in Italy by Rosie Meleady for free in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

The author, her husband and two kids live in Ireland, but want to move to Italy. This is easier said than done when their family all live in Ireland , they don’t have a lot of disposable cash and then the pandemic hits. This was an interesting memoir that reminded me a little of Under the Tuscan Sun because they buy a big old house in need of many renovations.

I enjoyed this book and my biggest take from it was that it is possible to live the life you dream of with hard work. This family kept their eyes on the prize and managed to accomplish their goal. There was more to the book too including the death of the author’s sister which had a big effect on her and her family. I recommend this for anyone who enjoys memoirs or needs a push to focus on their goals.

  3. That is a fine and aspirational tale. Blue certainly does suit, but I suspect Santa wants to be warm, and red definitely suits for that plusyou can see him in the dark…

  5. Dusty certainly is awww-worthy in her blue Santa Hat, though she doesn’t look all too thrilled about wearing it! Sounds like a book dad would like to read since it’s something he’s often thought about doing if his back, feet and shoulders were younger.

  13. super cute cat.I don’t remember where the santa hats (Mine Celestine’s and Harvey was the last cat to wear it) are buried in the front bedroom.other wise I’d do to him when we did to Harvey.

  16. Well, I loved Under the Tuscan Sun and I am sure I would enjoy this book too. Dusty is definitely AWW worthy! Blue’s her color!
