Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that our concrete pumpkins are coming along-

all painted now we just need to find some branches to cut up into stems. We made 4 more today.

I am thankful to all of you who visit every day. I appreciate your friendship. I also am thankful I got to spend time with my mom and the kids ( all 3) on Monday and on Wednesday my mom and I took the girls school clothes shopping and out to lunch. I am sad they didn’t get to stay over, but at least I saw them.

I skipped the poem this week, too busy with the kids and pumpkins.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Those pumpkins look very festive! Glad you had fun day with family! We appreciate your visits and friendship, too, Ellen! XO

  2. You are certainly busy getting in halloween, fall mode. I am busy crocheting snowflakes, and I went to our senior operated volunteer sewing store and bought four snowflake pattern books for 20 cents.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I am happy you were able to score some pattern books at a good price. XO

  3. I am thankful for your friendship too. The pumpkins are looking good and it’s great that you spend time with your family.

  4. HEY! Great job on the pumpkins. Will they all go right out front of the house?
By the way, I am thankful for our friends on the CB too. The days wouldn’t be the same without them.

  5. The pumpkins look great! I love to hear that you and your Mom have been out with the girls. It brings back memories of me, my Mom, and Aunt. My Aunt (Mom’s sister) and my Mom always took me out to buy Bass Weejuns for school. And clothes too. We always had hot dogs at the dime store counter. I am thankful that you share a bit of your life with us and the Meowing Crews blog♥

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Sounds like you have a lot of good memories of school clothes shopping. I hope the girls will too. Their mother used to put on fashion shows when we got home, I have many on dvd.XO

Java Bean: “Ayyy, we have been pretty busy here this week too, between the water heater needing service and the yard getting sprayed for ticks and now the air conditioner quit working and I heard Dada say somebody is coming out to look at it today. I have had no shortage of people to bark at!”

  7. Ummmm I’m like the pumpkins and can hardly wait til it is “REAL PUMPKIN Season.
I wish I had been a fly on the wall at lunch with the Greats and during shopping.
    Hugs Cecilia

I always looked forward to shopping for school clothes. Of course, we had to wear dresses and skirts when I went to school in the olden days. Hugs!
