Friendly Fill-Ins Week 427

Hi everyone. Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I want to try _________________________________.
2. ______________________should be an Olympic sport.
3. I’m grateful that _________ while I was growing up.
4. _________ deserves to be more popular.
My answers:
1. I want to try to make a concrete pumpkin using a youtube video for instructions.
2. Medicating cats should be an Olympic sport.
3. I’m grateful that social media didn’t exist while I was growing up.
4. The television show, Resident Alien, deserves to be more popular. It ran for 3 seasons on Syfy and almost got canceled but got moved to the USA channel so there will be a season 4 and hopefully more.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from August 2014. Angel Stinky was posing with a tin of Stinky’s Sardines from Yeoww!

  1. A concrete pumpkin would be fascinating to see! And you’d be so much closer to ready for Halloween every year! Love the pic of Angel Stinky!

  2. LOVE your fill-ins and yes, mama agrees that no social media made growing up more creative and fun than now! And your mama must spend so much time helping her kitty family with their medical problems as they get older. Your mama is a saint!

  3. I, too am glad that there wasn’t all the tech stuff that’s around these days. That is another reason why I think it’s so great that you do all kinds of not tech things with your ‘greats’.

Trying to pill a dog can be quite the chore if they don’t like the pill pockets…or are wise to them LOL!
Since its a crazy time for me to be on the computer…I am passing on the fill ins this week…

That is a sweet pic of Angel Stinky with his ‘cigars’!

  4. Good luck on the pumpkin and you’ll have to let us know if it works. And I remember feeding sardines to Angel Seney when she would refuse all other food. And believe that they stink.

    1. I will let you know. Yes, they do stink. They are what helped us trap Bridget when she escaped. XO

  5. A concrete pumpkin sounds cool. I have a pumpkin I’ve had for 10 years, and you can put a light on it. I bring it out at the beginning of fall. That’s a sweet picture of Angel Stinky.

  6. My mom agrees with you on #3 VERY strongly. I wish it wasn’t here now…except the blogs.

  7. The pantyhose concrete pumpkin DIY project turned out nice but it’s a lot of work. There was a time when I’d be saying, “Yeah, I want to do that!” But, not anymore. I just enjoy seeing what others do. I can’t wait to see how yours turn out.

Your experience with medicating cats remind me of how hard it was to get medicine down our kids when they were small. I had to wrangle them between my legs to hold them in place so I had my hands free to give them liquid Tylenol or something else. They really hated it, too!

There have been a few TV series that I’ve seen that I could say the same. I just never got why they got cancelled because the writing and acting was good so what went wrong?

I enjoyed reading your responses. Have a good weekend!

    1. I know my niece has trouble getting her 6 yr old to take meds. Thank you. 🙂 Have a great weekend too. XO

  8. Stinky sardines were Angel Madi’s all time favorite.
I agree with #2 fill in. The first time we had to pill Madi she WON
Bryan said he had no idea a 10 lb cat was so strong. He was trying to gently hold her but her back feet in motion was jet propelled

  9. #2 and #3 are perfect. Having medicated cats before, I wholeheartedly agree! I spent my teenage years in the 70s and can say, unequivocally, it’s a good thing there was no social media!

  10. Excellent fill-ins, especially the medicating cats one. Having to do C.J. now, and she’s not easy but not as bad as some others past and present. Totally agree about the lack of social media. We actually had time to spend with our friends in person and play outside. Mom says to let her know how the pumpkins turn out. They look really cool. Sweet flashback photo as well. 11. Cute photo. I feel the same about social media. We spent a lot more time playing than the kids today. The concrete pumpkin sounds interesting.

  12. Medicating cats is certainly an adventure, even if not a sport yet.

Angel Stinky certainly seemed to be enjoying the sardines. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
