Awww…Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays

This week I had Penelope pose with the book I just finished reading because she looks a lot like the cat on the cover.

Is There Tuna in Heaven? The Story of Clio: A One-Eyed, Three-Legged Cat Who Healed My Wounded Soul by Kathy Finley is a great book. As with all cat books, there are sad parts, but overall it is an uplifting book about a woman and her cat and how they rescue each other.

I got mine from the library so it has a different cover than the newer version that came out recently. You can get it at Amazon, click here.

Penny will be here with her money saving tips tomorrow.

  1. Penelope thank you for showing us this book. This is the kind of book that Lynn reads to me when we have late time and she will see if our library has it. Precious

  2. Penelope is most adorable and that book sounds like a great read. Well done.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

  3. A mini-rant about why publishers change book covers…what is that all about? Some of my book groups are all purchasing books with painted edges, and all kinds of special edition books. Yikes!

  4. There is some similarities between the book cover kitty and Penelope. Thanks for sharing your recent read. Have an pawwsom week! 😽🐾

  5. Charlee: “Penelope does look like the cat on the cover! Perhaps she has got a secret side career as a book model!”
Chaplin: “I’m sure there is tuna in heaven. Our legendary sister Trouble the Kitty would never let Tucker run an Everlasting Rainbow Bridge Buffet that was lacking something as basic as tuna!”

  6. Wow, Penelope is adorable and does look like she posed for the cover, and the book sounds interesting.

  7. Penelope ~ you are adorable with what looks like a great read ~ thanks,

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

  8. I’ve said many times that I’d adopt a three legged, one-eyed kitty with a broken tail. 🙂 Hugs, my dear, and thanks for the book review and adorable photo of Penelope.

  9. That truly looks like twin kitties!
One can only admire anyone adopting a 3–legged and/or half blind kitty!
My friend Maria had a 3–legged kitty that came all the way from Italy to live with her here.
Another blogger friend’s son rescued a kitty from the street and it ended up blind with only one eye…
That shows TRUE love to care for critters and or humans like that!!!
    Hugs,
    Mariette + Kitties

    1. I also had a 3-legged cat once, Sabrina. She was my sister’s cat and we adopted her when my sister was moving. XO

  10. Penelope, good to see you on Monday helping out your Mom! I think that looks like a good book. I might be able to give it a try. I think I can do a Kindle or a book again 🙂

  11. This sounds like quite a story! Your model Penelope is beautiful.
