Before Rosie tells all, I have to apologize to Friday. I am a day late in wishing her a Happy Birthday!!

And now here’s Rosie–

Hi everyone! I am having a great week.  You know what that means, right? It means a kid free week. Mom ended up going to their house instead because they had swimming lessons and needed to be home earlier than usual. She can’t have them tomorrow because she has to bring Brody to the cardiologist. Shhh! Don’t tell Brody, but she is going to slip him a Mickey tomorrow morning.

 

I have a funny Grammie story to tell you. I hope she doesn’t get mad at me, but it is OK if she does. It is not like she ever lets me play with her cell phone or anything. When she was babysitting the kids wanted chicken nuggets so she put them in the regular oven and set the timer on the microwave- only she did it wrong and turned the microwave on for 20 minutes-and there was a plastic cover in it that got melted. Her granddaughter (mom’s niece) didn’t say anything about it and just ordered another cover from Amazon. Then, Oops! She did it again. After that, The Great One gave her a lesson on how to start the timer. 🙂 And that is why we call Grammie , The Melter now. Grammie did buy a new cover too and paid for the one from Amazon.

I can’t believe mom forgot Friday’s birthday. That was not very nice of her. Friday doesn’t like treats so she will have to make it up in cuddles or catnip. I like treats, but they upset my tummy. I am on a new food for sensitive stomachs. It tastes pretty good.

Rusty and Rudy are still being good so I have nothing on them. Drat! At least when they were bad it gave me stuff to write about. Tuffy still won’t let anyone touch him, but he will lick butter off mom’s finger.

I will let you know soon about Brody’s appointment. If you have any prayers to spare, they will be appreciated. Brody is a cool dude, he gets along with all of us.

    The is funny about your Grammie…petcretary once tried to rise bread dough n her microwave…and since it was a double lot…well, the whole thing got filled with sticky we dough…and she had to throw a lot of it away…lesson?? Only rise one batch at a time, LOL!

  19. Oh, poor Grammie, she either feels bad for doing it or she is laughing. The Melter!
    I am sending Happy Birthday Wishes to Friday and prayers for Brody.
    I once turned on the oven to preheat and someBODY had put a tupperware cake top in there and it melted and caught fire and all that plastic floated all over the kitchen and we had to have a professional come in and clean the whole kitchen!

  20. I wish Friday many happy returns of the day! As many cats as you have at your house, it’s no wonder your Mom forgets sometimes, we all do.

    I remember when I was the kid who knew how to set up the VCR for my parents and taught them the microwave, and soon I’ll be the grandmother whose grandchild has to help her learn new technology. It’s the circle of life!

  24. Purrs for Brody, and happy belated birthday to Friday! I’ve turned the microwave on instead of the timer before, but luckily realized it right off. BUT I’ve melted a few utensils in the oven!
