Nosey Rosie’s Tips 43

Hi everyone! I thought I would do a tell-all post today to let you in on some family secrets.

First secret- mom needs to dust. She is good about organizing and getting rid of stuff, but she doesn’t like dusting and vacuuming.

I get along with every cat here. My folks call me Miss Congenieality. Not sure why because I have no magical powers. Drake doesn’t like any of us, but I can outrun him, so I am all set. He really hates Trouble and Brody. Drake has to be segregated unless one of my folks is right there. Trouble likes to egg him on and she keeps walking by him to set him off. She is mean to me sometimes, but I can outrun her too.

My besties are Joanie and Emmy. They are always nice to me. Elvira is nice to me too. Friday sometimes meows at me, “kiss my grits”, but I don’t know where her grits are so I can’t kiss them so I just walk away and she leaves me alone.

Brody loves all the ladies, especially his 3 great-great-great-great-great-great-great-granddaughters. There has been no DNA testing, but they came from the same part of town Brody lived before he was fixed and they are all short and stocky like him.

Penny is mostly nice to me. She doesn’t like Trouble though, she chases her whenever she can.
I think some of the cats here fight more than those Real Housewives on tv do.
My Daddy carries me to the bedroom every night after I watch my Red String video on tv. I am special because I get to sleep in the bedroom and so do Joanie and Emmy. During the day, more cats can go in there, but when my folks are sleeping they can’t protect us so only us 3 good kitties get to sleep in there. If Elvira and Friday want to they can too, but so far, they like sleeping in their own room.
Well, I need to go find a really good hiding place because The Great One and Typhoid Mary will be here all day Thursday. Oy!
And they will probably want to play with my pet octopus.
.
One more thing- Yesterday was Elvira’s original Gotcha Day. Now she has 2 Gotcha Days. To read about when she was originally gotcha’d and see photos of her as a wee kitten, click here.
I hope you liked my post, if you have any questions you want me to find the answers to, just ask.

  1. Rosie that’s a pretty thorough description! Multi-cat households sure have complicated dynamics! Those are cute pictures of you, and of Elvira too.

  2. Elvira you were an adorable kitten who has grown up into an adorable cat! Rosie I loved this post and always love your posts! I look forward to more! 🙂 <3

  3. Rosie…thanks for the run down on the ins and outs of all the felines in your house. It was very interesting to find out just how you all do or don’t get along. Mom says she’ll have to do a post like this sometime. Good luck on Thursday. We are going to go read about Elvira as a kitten. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet

  4. Whoa! What news. I was thinking about doing a news post this week. Our condo hasn’t been dusted in 2 years. TW says she gets too tired and Pop won’t lift a finger.

  5. Dusting?? Um, that is a hated chore here, too…only gets done when company is expected, LOL, LOL!!! Shhh, our secret, OK??
She’s better with the vacuum though…tee-hee!

You sure have a complicated hierarchy/social dynamic system at your den, wow! Hard to remember who loves/hates who, LOL!!!
Good thing we can refer to your observations, though.

Hope you might get a wee bit curious about Thursday’s visitor…We hear that crafts might include all that wonderful
crinkly tissue paper…don’t all kitties want to play with that? I ma sure TM will love on you if you let her. At least we hope that one day you will. Just ask Joanie…
    Love to all!❤️😺

    1. Same here. Yes, Lots of crafts- I hide because I don’t want to be covered in glitter. 🙂 XO and love to you too.

  6. I enjoyed your post, Rosie. It was good to hear who gets on and who doesn’t. Your mom must be busy keeping the peace! I am glad you can run fast. It is good to be able to outrun someone looking for trouble.
Happy original Gotcha Day to Elvira.

  7. What a wonderful TELL ALL about your family….humans AND fellow cats as well. Maybe you should start your own Tuesday series – – – TUESDAY TELL ALL WITH ROSIE. With all the cats in your household there are probably a WHOLE LOT of interesting things going on around there!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Good idea, but some Tuesdays I have to let Penny, Friday and Elvira have a turn. 🙂 XO

  8. Rosie, I totally complately LOVED this post. Every word. You really told on everyone and everything. Just what we love. Call it “Cat Confidential”! Drake…I never knew that about you, boy! Come on now…get with the program. The others aren’t going anywhere. Elvira telling you to kiss her grits and you not knowig where they are…oh Rosie. That was the best of all!!!

  9. Daddy’s Girl♥ Fun post Rosie, I just knew Joanie and Emmy would be your besties! I think it would be fun if you did this again. I enjoyed the photos. Tell your Mom I don’t like to dust either and hardly ever do. I don’t have a lot to dust and we have Rita the Roomba for all the dang tile in our house. Enjoy the rest of your day, Rosie!

  10. Best news blog EVER Rosie! Boy, is there a lot of action in your house! What fun to have all those buddies around, even the ones who hissy fit! And your daddy is a Schindler, too! Chauffeur, elevator, whatever you want to call him. What a guy…

  11. Rosie, thank you for the rundown on the household events. My hubby does the vacuuming and I do the dusting. Our kitty, Callie, helps me dust and hides under the bed when she sees the vacuum.

    1. That is great that your hubby vacuums. My hubby deals with outside and I deal with inside. 🙂 XO

  12. I am lucky that all 4 cats here are friends at least most of the time. Once in a while Morgan will give the “paw of no” to Sasha but she deserves it. Gracie (7 lbs.) and Gus (13 lbs.) often chase each other but always in fun. No one ever catches anyone. I think of it as practicing for the Indy 500. Gotta love cats!

  13. Thanks for the news, Rosie! Have you ever considered at least trying to make friends with The Great One and Tyohoid Mary? It might surprise you to find they like you and you’ll like them.

  14. I hate dusting too. I don’t mind vacuuming though.
OMCs you cracked me up with this
“Friday sometimes meows at me, “kiss my grits”, but I don’t know where her grits are so I can’t kiss them so I just walk away and she leaves me alone.”
    Hugs Cecilia

  15. I’ve always known that you were a very good kitty. Now I know the personalities of all the kitties. I hate dusting too so tell mom I’m with her on that chore.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Rosie. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. xoxo ♥

  16. Dusting! Vacuuming! Our Mom agrees, but she hates washing floors and walls worse. Now we shall sing Elvira the song!

  17. Rosie, you really spilled the beans today:). We hope the other kitties don’t read your post – BOL.

Our Mom says she could dust every day and there would still be dog hair everywhere:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  19. I wish you and your precious family all the best. You have amazing humans. We’ve limited this household to three kitties at a time; they’re saints for balancing family dynamics. ~hugs~

  20. Charlee: “It’s important to have a good bolt-hole to go to when there are strangers coming over or somebody wants to chase you. But it’s important to keep it a secret.”
Chaplin: “Yeah, Charlee’s is under the IKEA sofa, behind the plastic step exercise thing that nobody uses. You’ll never find her under there.”
    Charlee: “Chaplin!”
    Chaplin: “What?”
Charlee: “I said it was important to keep your hiding place a secret!”
Chaplin: “I did keep my hiding place a secret. I just told them about yours.”

  21. This was fun to read! I enjoyed learning about the family. Things can get very complicated when it’s a multi-cat household. But it seems like everyone is doing okay even if there is some tension once in a while. xo
