Not So Wordless Wednesday

Hi, sorry we are not wordless today. We are joining In Purrsuit of Flavours hosted by Easy and The Canadian Cats.

This month’s theme is tummy warmers.

My recipe today is thanks to Canadian Cats’ Mom. I used to make a bland Shepherd’s Pie until she sent me a packet of mix-now I must have it in my Shepherd’s Pie.

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef

1 can of corn -drained ( when it is in season, I use fresh)

5 large potatoes- mashed

and a packet of Shepherd’s Pie mix- I found this in the International section of the grocery store.

Directions:

Fry ground beef, drain  then add corn. Follow directions on packet ( you basically mix it with cold water and add it to ground beef and corn). Pour into a casserole dish then top with potatoes. I always add butter on top of the potatoes. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

We also want to give our condolences to Boodie’s family, to visit, click here.

And please purr and pray for Lone Star Cats’ Bowie, to visit click here.

  1. That looks so delicious! We were really sad to learn about Boodie’s passing, and we are purring and praying for Bowie. XO

  2. That sounds tasty. Cottage pie is one of my favourite winter meals Here in the UK it is called Shepherd’s Pie if you use lamb mince, any other meat usually being beef and it is called cottage pie. I add thinly sliced carrots and mushrooms and a handful of frozen peas to mine instead of corn.

  3. I love shepherds pie. Not had it in a long time, but it’s such a tummy warmer.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  4. Aww! cute pic heheh! 🙂

That Shepherds Pie looks tasty I might try that I have seen that mix in the supermarkets 🥧

Have a mincetastic safe week Ellen 😷😷😷

  5. My mouth is watering. I will add that envelope of mix to my grocery list
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. Delicious looking. I’ve never seen the addition that was shared with you. Not at any of my grocery stores. I’m going to keep looking. We have a few specialty stores in my area.
