Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that I got to give The Great One a ride home from school yesterday and we got to play with the castle.

Emmy is thankful that Joanie let her have one of Angel Sammy’s catnip crayons. He left all his earthly possessions to his sister except for the rest of his Amazon gift card that he had won at Cat Scouts. I used it to buy a ring to put some of his ashes inside of, so it is like he bought it for me.

It is hard to see, but it is a silver heart with a gold paw print on it. Not real gold, but what is inside the ring is more precious than gold to me.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. I am running low on ____________________.
2. I never run out of _________________.
3. I work best when _________.
4. _________ caught me by surprise.

  10. The ring is such a lovely close to the heart idea. Sammy is so missed and having his ashes in the ring is just another sweet way to keep him physically close. I know he is always in your heart and in your thoughts. Joanie is a very sweet cat. Hugs to you as you work through your grief of Sammy’s passing.

  11. Charlee: “Aww, that’s so sweet that Sammy’s gift card bought you the ring that will keep him with you forever!”
Chaplin: “Hey, Java Bean said he wants to play the Friendly Fill-Ins. Okay, here goes. I am running low on …”
    Java Bean: “Coffee!”
Chaplin: “I never run out of …”
    Java Bean: “Coffee!”
Charlee: “Wait, isn’t that contradictory with your first answer?”
Java Bean: “Not if I get more coffee before I run out.”
    Charlee: “Okay fine.”
Chaplin: “I work best when …”
    Java Bean: “I have coffee!”
    Charlee: “Don’t we all.”
Chaplin: “And Java Bean, what caught you by surprise?”
Charlee: “Something to do with coffee, no doubt.”
Java Bean: “Nope! Finally getting adopted out of the shelter!”
Charlee: “Well, we can’t argue with that.”
