Rosie is posing with my most recent reads. In Love: A Memoir of Love and Loss by Amy Bloom was disturbing. The author writes about her husband’s Alzheimer’s and the plan to go to Switzerland for assisted suicide while he was still fairly with it instead of going through the long process of eventually dying from it. I respect a person’s beliefs and wishes, but personally I think we are all here for a reason. And what if the reason was to teach compassion to other people by going through an illness. I would not want to interfere with God’s plan. I won’t tell you if they go through with it or not.
I’ve been following Joshua Becker’s blog, Becoming Minimalist for years so I was eager to read his latest book, Things that Matter: Overcoming Distraction to Pursue a More Meaningful Life. I am only a few chapters in, but so far, it is helpful.
Not sure who will post tomorrow. Maybe Penny. Maybe Rosie has more family gossip. Maybe Elvira or Friday will write a post. Stop by tomorrow to see.
