Friendly Fill-Ins Week 182

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. Whenever I _________________, I ____________________.

2. ________________ is not _____________.

3. Good things come to those who _________.
4. _________ makes me grumpy.
My answers:
1. Whenever I use a glue gun, I burn my fingers.
2. Life is not always fair.
3. Good things come to those who put the effort in.
4. Not having coffee in the morning makes me grumpy. Last week, our power was out in the morning so I had to go without- it was not pretty.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

I still have my Halloween decorations up so I thought I would do more flashbacks from Halloweens past:
Phoebe had asked the talking mirror who was the fairest of them all.
She was not pleased with the response 🙂

  1. Coffee gets my eyes open every morning – just one cup and I’m good to go. The only time I burn my fingers is when I say “oh I don’t need an oven mitt” – when I DEFINITELY do!

    Hugs, Pam

  2. Angel Phoebe you are the sweetest of them all… well, all the Meowing Crew are sweet! Some a little more TROUBLE than others but still sweet!
    My Fill-Ins—
    1. Whenever I spend too much time in crowds I get a cranky.
    2. A hamburger is not the perfect hamburger unless it has cheese and all the fixin’s.
    3. Good things come to those who make them happen. But thankfully some really good things come out of nowhere.
    4. Heat and a high dew point makes me grumpy.

    • Thank you. 🙂 And thank you for these great fill-in answers. Good point about burgers. Heat and humidity make me grumpy too. XO

  3. I love that picture of Phoebe asking, and then leaving. Funny.. She and I have the same responses at our mirrors.

When the power is out and there’s no coffee…I make a run to McDonalds and get a cup like their largest coke sized ones, of coffee from the drive thru so I don’t have to dress or look decent. 🙂

  4. Meowser Ms. Ellen! I love Phoebe’s photo with the mirror. Living in FL where hurricanes like to wreck havoc, my staff is purrpared for no electricity, so we have a coleman campfire purrcupalator that works just fine on the grill – you can make bacon and eggs while it purrks. You do have a grill, don’t you?
Oh, and thank you for hosting this blog hop.

  5. There’s been a lot of power outages here too. We have an alternate way to make coffee when that happens. Love all your fill-ins.

Too cute on the mirror. I’m never happy about what the mirror says anymore either.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  6. I hear you on the coffee=less day.
Back in 1996 when Hurricane Fran came thru Raleigh we were w/o power for a week. I two miles every day down to Daylight Donuts for coffee. Their power came back on quickly because they are across the street from an assisted living facility.

    • We were without power for 3 days in 1996, but a full week in 2011. Thankfully we had a generator in 2001, but it is currently broken. XO

  7. Fantastic fill-ins! You know, I haven’t used a glue gun in years. Probably because I also always burn myself. I’ve also had my share of super glue disasters. I’m just not great friends with glue, I guess. And I absolutely adore these flashback Halloween photos of Phoebe! She sure showed that mirror. My Halloween decor is also still up, though, sadly, I will be taking it down this weekend. Gotta make room for Christmas, after all. Purrs!

  8. MOL, Phoebe!

Long ago when coffee makers were not standard in hotel rooms and our mom was traveling, she’d actually get takeout coffee the night before and just drink it cold in the morning. She was a real coffee fiend back then. 🙂

  9. I understand Phoebe’s response completely…she’s a very fair kitty. All of your kitties are beautiful.
I am sorry that you had to deal with a power outage. I hope that won’t happen again!
Amen to your #2 answer! All of your answers are great.

Thanks for the fill-ins, Ellen. Have a blessed weekend!
