Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop . Today I am thankful to be celebrating 27 years of marriage to my wonderful hubby.

We are also joining   Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt..

Glad we found this bench to sit on.
I thought we would have to play on the lawn.
I would have no trouble getting down,
but standing back up may cause me to frown.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I didn’t _____________until I ________________.

2. I try to ____________________.

3. My fear of _________ keeps me from _________.
4. If I were a ghost, I would haunt _________.

  1. Happy anniversary! My human is always a little envious of people who married the right person when they were young. The guys she was involved with in her teens and 20s were all Mr. Wrongs and it is a good thing she DIDN’T marry them! In fact, all the guys she has been involved with have all been wrong, or she’d be married now, LOL! The last one was nice, just wrong for her. She still thinks it will happen for her, though.

  2. Such a beautiful wedding portrait……..!! And you really did a great job with your poem this week – I bet those two will have trouble moving around after sitting on that hard bench to play their match. Concatulations on 27 years of marriage – you two are THE BEST!

    Hugs, Pam

  3. Oh Ellen, much love to you both on your anniversary! And what a beautiful wedding you had and along with that, you were and are a beautiful bride. Your gown, by the way, is stunning. You face is just glowing with happiness.

  4. “I would have no trouble sitting down …
but I’d never get back up again without a whole lotta help!”
(Doesn’t rhyme but it is the truth) …

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Pilch … a beautiful couple when wed … and we’ve no doubt a beautiful couple 27 years later! May your lives continue onward full of love, peace and joy … (and of course, a bunch of kitty cats!)

  5. ♪♫Happy Anniversary to your and your husband.♪♫

Love your poem and love the fill-ins. I’m all ready for tomorrow.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. ♥

  6. I’m sorry I’m late, but I want to wish you a very happy anniversary! I hope your day was wonderful. I bet the kitties helped you celebrate. And, as always, your poem is fantastic! Sometimes I already find myself wishing I hadn’t sat on the floor, because getting up is certainly not as easy as when I was a little kid. Purrs!
