Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.I am thankful for all the wonderful birthday wishes on Tuesday. I am also thankful for birthday cake ice cream. Whoever invented that is a genius. Vanilla ice cream with frosting and sprinkles mixed in- so good!

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo prompt:

It sure is hot outside.
I put an egg on the sidewalk and it fried.
I will take a giant coke with ice
I don’t care about the price.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. If I had ________________, I would _________________________.

2. ___________________sparks my creativity.

3. _________ keeps me up at night.

4. I only just recently learned _________.
And one more thing- Please keep our friend Marg in your prayers.

  1. That’s a totally COOL poem…. With the heat wave we’re all having nothing tastes better than a nice cold drink (or ice cream!).

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. That poem is terrific. And thanks for putting that picture up for our Mom. She is so thankful for all her friends. And she is thankful that there isn’t anything really bad wrong with her. You all have a super duper day.

  3. Happy belated birthday! I’m for birthday months so I hope you enjoy it every day. I hope Marg’s back gets better and doesn’t need surgery. Back pain is not fun. The prompt is perfect for a summer, July day.

Fun poem, sometimes you just have to have something to cool down.

  6. The only thing I like about birthdays any more is cake and ice cream! I love the birthday cake ice cream too, but would still rather have my cake separate. LOL
